Thread: YT-1300 Cockpit View unatural feel

I finaly got my YT-1300 and I love it.. Only one thing is bothering me.. its that when I am the Pilot or Operations chair I feel I am sitting way to high and it feels akward.. Is there anyway to sit lower... I remember in beta it was head level and felt alot more natural.. Anyone else notice this?

I see what you're talking about. It would be really helpful for me to be able to turn off the interiors of the cockpit (like we can with the starfighters), too.

I tried messing with the field of view a little but don't want to pull it to much back and stretch everything out.
Is there a way to adjust how high I am sitting. I feel like I am standing when I use the pilot seat, when I look over to my co-pilot they are way below head level... Just doesn't feel right
I hope this is fixed and my view would be and my true head level when sitting and not above it by 2ft.. Just feels wierd to fly like that...

I know exactly what you meen, only its opposite for me. My bothan cant even see over the dash in the sorosub lol! No way to change it that I know of, but there should be a viewpoint adjustment or something. Or the one that moves the viewpoint up and down for the 3rd person view should effect the cockpit view to.

I find that it's almost impossible to fly in 1st person mode (the depth perception is really difficult) - same for the Y-8. (and yes, I'm a Bothan so some phonebooks would be nice...)

I am in agreement here, after sitting in the copilot seat earlier. The PoV is and head level for standing, as opposed to head level for sitting. A way to adjust the Z-axis in viewing is likely asking too much (for the person speaking of the tall wookie, Samoflan is a medium/smaller height human, go troll elsewhere). But simply making the PoV equal to eye level on an avatar would be much better.

I don't understand why you can't have the option to not see the cockpit like on other ships.That damn YT cockpit is as annoying and pointless as Micheal Moore.

Bumping, because this is annoying. That said, however, I do like the level in the yacht, it feels about where your head would be, even though you cannot see out, it's a luxury ship, meant to fly more by computer than by sight.

You can turn off the cockpit view?? I've been wishing for this since I started flying (which, granted, was only a few weeks ago). How is this done?

Ctrl+O, Misc button, it's check box at the very bottom
