i was unloading parts tonight and found a level 7 reactor with 14k mass and 51 output ..should i get it RE'd or save for when I master Pilot and get a POB?

I'd save it and see if you can find parts to RE it with and ask a SW to have it custom made for you. You might just keep it safe for now, or until you can use it. But beware of decay. :/

If you're going to RE it, I wouldn't worry about decay myself.

My best reactors are level 1 RE jobs. my fav is 14k gen level 1 with just over 1k mass.

Got one of those as well. Working on a backup L3 as well with slightly more power.

Of course, my creme de la creme (in addition to my 45.7k gen L8 POB monster), is a 10.5k (give or take 50 units) mass L7 with a whopping 37518 gen power. Haven't REed that one yet.

Go ahead and fix WO3 now...*I* sure as hell won't mind.

I just use reactor overload and reactor size never seems to be an issue?

I dunno, I've got an A-Wing with some extremely tight mass considerations, and even with RO4, I still can't use EO4.

Oh, and that reactor? Bury it deep, break it out when you get master and only repair it in Deep Space. You won't see too many like those in your career.
