Thread: Qustion about Y8 and rumor of added turrets

I read somewhere in the forums that there is talk of adding 2 more turrets to the Y8 has anyone else heard this?Also if a dev happens to read this link add a forward weapons slot to mount the tractor beam in.I have the Y8 and think the interior looks cool but it is almost useless as a mining vessel.With 2 more turrets for defence and an added weapons slot for the tractor beam up front this would be a very good ship.

Darth_Platypus - I think you'll agree that two more turret emplacements on the front of the ship will make it a more formidable mining vessel...

I just about re-deeded the ship, but decided to take some friends out for a little test drive last night. They must have tweaked the YPR, and acceleration of the ship, because it actually seemed like it might be viable to mine in it last night. That or I put in a different engine and didn't realize it.

I have actually always found the Y8 to handle better then the other POB ships.
As far as adding guns, I hope instead of Turrets, they just add two front firing guns, controlled at each of the Operations sections.
