Small glitch on the Droid Interface Component Analysis screen. The rankings for speed are inverted. I just entered the 4th cert level 2 DI, and it has the highest speed, so should be ranked 4th. Lower speed is better.
Yeah, I was wondering when someone was going to catch this. The trouble is that I'm using attributes generically, so the same rules (in this case, prefer higher) apply to the speed attribute for DIs as for boosters and engines. It's on the list of things to address, but I'm treating it as non-critical for now.

Armek Plasma Shell S3 Shield Generator
Class 4, RE 4
As I download the 'please let this be the patch to fix my crash to desktop error' patch, I took the time to implement the 2 missing droid interface and 2 missing shield classes. Thank you for bringing them to my attention.
I haven't stopped to gush about how great our userbase is for a while, so allow me to /gush. You guys are the best. I never anticipated that spaceLoot would draw the quality or quantity of attention that it has. Frankly, I expected to be doing most of the data entry myself. Instead, I'm fifth on the leaderboard. Gwarsh.
Special shout outs to recent high volume contributors, in no particular order: DarkPuppet, Kewae, Acaila, Mandinga, Lantyssa. Sorry to anyone I might have missed there...
We seem to have hit a real sweet spot in our development. We're getting nice steady submissions from a large number of users and the site traffic is picking up to the point that I'm considering taking a vacation from the day job to expand the functionality.
Anyone else think it's time we start clamoring for a mention in the FAQ?
I think it definitely deserves a mention in the FAQ. I've found it to be a VERY valuable tool when looking for good loot, and am going to begin entering my VERY large loot stockpile into it.

SpaceLoot.comis a site I created to track looted ship component statistics.
Users can submit component data and see how their submitted components compare, attribute per attribute, against other components in the same level and classification. You can also flag certain components as available for sale or trade.
The site launched at 10:30 AM EST on 8/9/2005 with 0 components in the database. In the tradition of similar community driven sites, the utility is of little value until the database grows to a certain critical mass. I strongly encourage the pilot community to give the site a try and submit some randomly selected patch 20+ loot (not your premium cache only, that'll screw up the data distribution). I welcome all questions, comments and bug reports in this thread.

Eventually I'll delve into those bags of components I've been hoarding and add them as well. I have three small houses worth. (All post 20. I was late to start JtL.)
I did notice you were marking the reward items. Are these okay to enter? I had not want to enter mine and skew the results with quest rewards without checking.

Yeah I'm still torn on what to do with the reward items. For now feel free to enter them. Eventually I may trim it down to just one instance of each reward item in the database, so that they don't drag the standard deviation too far out of whack. I do want people to note them for the max value attributes though, so they've got the complete picture.
Fortunately the only places it makes a very big difference are with level 6 engine speeds, level 7 and 8 gun damages, and level 8 shield HP values. Well, and level 4 gun damage, but I don't think a lot of people are poring over that one too much.
Higgs, if you didn't have over 10,000 posts I'd scoff at you. As it is, I'll just look forward to the 600 new datapoints. Thanks man.
