Is it just me...or does noone actually give a damn about Mustafar? If it is a new expansion, well lets say a big welcome to more bugs, broken quests and forum heartache.

Yeah, I thought Hoth would come first. I mean, how many more expansions are there going to be based on planets that were in Episode III for five minutes?

I wonder which is more unpopular, the XP changes or this "expansion".

So it's all about Jedi, yet the last patch was implemented to kill the ability to progress to Jedi. Yay!
And what's with the Jurassic Park thing going on in there?

Tinfoil hat.
Its about making money off existing subscribers, getting more subscribers, and getting them to play longer. Im wagering they're banking on starwars geekdom for want of jedi, combined with the carrot on the stick to get people to stay around longer. Subscription retention.
So ya sure, why not make getting jedi easier, and grinding it is harder. Dangle the carrot, and they'll stay on the treadmill.

The only way I could see any logic whatsoever being put behind this apparent expansion would be to encourage more players to grind to Jedi...but that ain't gonna happen. I
When will the message get across to them that the fact we can 'meet'official canon charactersin game is pointless. We're not here to buy a T-shirt and say "hey bob..you know what? I met Obi Wan...its true. I have a screenshot!" because it isn't the -real- obi wan. Now if someone ressurected Sir Alec Ginness and lt me shake his hand..that'd be somthing, but in this content -no-. I want a game that works, not some branded picture show with a dead Jedi.
As for whoever said Mustafar could be that planetoid thing in Kashyk space..thats too scarily pheasable to be true. I wouldn't be half surprised if that were the case. In fact..I'm going to see now to find out which system Mustafar is supposed to be in...

Most of its 50 new quests will revolve around Obi-Wan, living as an NPC on the planet,
Someone should tell SOE that Obi-wan is kind of dead right now.
he died in the later episode you know after ep 3 and if it is bases on ep 3 then he is alive and kicking
FYI: The time period that SWG is set in occurs after Episode IV.

I'm starting to wonder if any true Starwars fans actually work for SOE or even on SWG...

Probably, but they're likely being drowned out by demands from LA.

meanwhile StarTrek online just hired Mike Akuda as technical consultant. The same guy that was tech consultant in the Trek series' and moviesand the author of the StarTrek Encyclopedia. I wish the same company had done SWG, they seem to be able to get proper people to keep things in line.

Don't get me wrong though, I love the game. Hell, we all do...thats why we're playing, even Ducimus. However,..ahh actually, I can't be bothered to ramble on...not like it'll do anything.

WEll hopefully they know this the techno union that ran the place in episode three ran the planet they made starships , computerss and weapons. THen the imperial took them over and made them work for them .
Respected corporations such as Baktoid Armor Workshop, Haor Chall Engineering, Republic Sienar Systems, Kuat Systems Engineering, TaggeCo, BlasTech Industries, and the Corellian Engineering Corporation are all signatories, to some degree, of the Techno Union.
from starwars.com from databank organizations
there is also several of their ships on the site too

I guess from the screen pics that Obi-Wan appears in Blue-Glowie (ghost) form. There has been some conjecture that this may replace the FS villiage as the way to become a Jedi. The characters in the screen shots are all Jedi at any rate.
From this point on I am calling this the "Jedi Expansion Pack". I can't see where it will have content for anyone else.
