More testing is always good If someone can confirm the numbers for all the shield reinforcement or Rebel shield routines I can get those up to date....I know they saved my butt a lot in the era before CtSS

REBEL ROUTINES

Shield Front/Rear Adjustment
Light
Data Size: 5
Redistributes shields to 120%/80% of normal hitpoints and regeneration rate
Moderate
Data Size: 10
Redistributes shields to 130%/70% of normal hitpoints and regeneration rate
Heavy
Data Size: 20
Redistributes shields to 140%/60% of normal hitpoints and regeneration rate
Extreme
Data Size: 25
Redistributes shields to 150%/50% of normal hitpoints and regeneration rate

Have the Devs tweaked these? I loaded a Shield Front Adjust Heavy, and the results don't match what is listed. Using a Re'ed reward shield (2555 hp front andrear before program), I ended up with 4471 front and 638 rear. Looks like the Heavy program should be 175% / 25%. I will probably be trying the medium soon (as 640 hps is a little scary for DS).

Ok, more testing (All using front adjust and reward shields so 2555 default)

Light: 3066 / 2044 = 120% / 80%

Moderate: 3832 / 1277 = 150% / 50%

Heavy (from previous post) = 175% / 25%

Extreme: 4854 / 255 = 190% / 10% (confirming JediNG's results)

Now why is it that an Imperial pilot has test the Rebel programs?

Perhaps, but I think they will fit my firespray PvP style... just gotta back off from the planned heavy to moderate.

As a new player, I understand almost none of this. Do Rebels only get shield type commands?

Yes we do, but you can get a friendly imp or freelancer to program some blank chips for you, so that you can stick them into your droid. these are tradable, and once burned onto your droid, you can use them to your hearts content. the trick is, finding an imp, who will be willing to program them for you. unless you know a nice one, that is

Ok I bought a lvl 3 R5 since that's the highest level droid I'm certified for. It said astromech in the details, so I hope I can use it in space. I have it loaded on my ship, but don't know how to program it with the shield programs listed on the first page. All I see are follow, group, wedge, column, patrol etc. What do I need to do to get this droid programmed to adjust my shields?

all astromechs dont automatically come with an astrogation unit - they need to be installed when the droid is created by the DE. If you see an astrogation level on your droid control device, though, it has one. To program it, go into your datapad, bring up the radialmenu for your droid, and the fourth (i think) option should be something like "Access Memory Module". This will bring up the interface to program your droid with burned routine chips and the routines you have in your own pilot tree.

Yeah, I figured it out accidentaly. I was going to call my droid when I saw the program option while it was in the data pad. I clicked it and loaded the shield adjustments into memory.

Thanks
