How about a way to download all the components we've entered?

Is it obvious yet that I love this tool?

Yaw and Pitch remain reversed on the "Component Analysis" screen. They are YPR instead of PYR.

SpaceLoot.com is temporarily blown up due to a network outage. I'm giving tech support the business and they say we'll be back up by early afternoon.

Since shields are evened front and back when you enter space, and they evidently do not reset when you remove them from the ship, if the numbers are not averaged, they will throw off the aggregate badly. How are those unbalanced shields handled in the database, how are they handled in reverse engineering? Should we take one shield to space and adjust shields to the front (adjust front shields 4 perhaps) and take the part off. Then do the same thing with the rear shields? Will this give you uber-RE'd shields?

It was once the case that you could use extreme shield adjust front and back to create shields with up to 3800 f/b protection. They're exploit material and anyone who brings them up tends to get flamed mercilessly, so buyer beware. As far as I know it's no longer possible to create them.

I've never RE'd a shield that wasn't a L8 reward shield, so I'm not positive how the front/back thing works, but I think you get the highest of each. Meaning that you should be careful not to use any unbalanced shields that you intend to RE.

Level 7 shields are way out of whack in more than one category. Someone has entered in some very screwy numbers.

And one of the engine or capacitor levels had a skewed aggregate in one category. I forgot to note which one.

I deleted one L7 shield that contained a clear data entry error. I haven't found any others, but if you spot them do bring them up.

The incidence of this sort of thing should drop dramatically now that the high/low validation filter is in place.

This is on the to-do list. You'll be able to pull your stuff down as a CSV that you can open in Excel.

I have a loot piece that doesn't appear on your site:

Capacitor: Qualdex Experimental (unknown model)

Level 10

Ar: 712.2

Hp: 712.2

Drain: 1130.4

mass: 43619.2

Energy: 1124.1

Rechg: 37.3

can you add the class, please?

Thanks,

Acka

I'll have all the missing classes mentioned thus far into the system by tomorrow morning, EST. Might get to 'em tonight if my kids cooperate.

When reporting a missing class, make sure that it's not one of the classes with mixed cert/RE levels. Those are currently deactivated for submission.

I have a fix for that problem that I'm going to put into effect soon, couple of days.

Added 2 missing level 6 reactor classes and 1 missing level 10 capacitor class. Thanks for bringing them to my attention.

Added javascript that copies the value in the armor field to automatically copy to the hit points field when the user tabs out. Cursor automatically advances to the mass or drain field, whichever is appropriate. I apologize in advance for the data entry snafus this will cause before it becomes natural.

The trouble with having a server in your bedroom closet is that it's awfully vulnerable to the destructive whims of two year olds.

Sorry for the downtime lately. Server is now back up.

In a little over a week we've logged 1850 components! I'm very pleased with the way the tool is evolving. Soon I think it will be a really viable population to measure against. Keep those submissions coming...

This is a really good idea and i hope it gets going in a short amount of time. I personally have hundreds of components that i am willing to input.

this is especially informative for those of us who want to see what the best stats ar for...let's say, they PYR on lvl 6 engines, so we know not to look too hard for anything that is higher than the max values (assuming those max values have been found and inputted)

so as a pilot who hoards space loot, i encourage all of you who read this to input as many components as you can, regardless if they are good or not because it'll provide a better idea as to what the availability is on certain stats

Spaceloot reports may be inaccurate for the next 24 hours as I implement and test code designed to account for mixed RE/cert level components. Don't bother reporting bugs in the reports until I announce that the code is released.

I know, I know, developing code on the live site is highly irresponsible appdev behavior. Sue me.

The system should now accurately track components with mixed cert/RE levels. All aggregate calculations are done based on the RE level of the submitted components rather than the cert level.

With this fix in place, we should now be able to start tracking Droid Interface statistics. Unfortunately I cannot find a published list of the DI classes, so I need help from the community to start building the list.

Please take a second to go through your droid interfaces and list the class names that you find in this thread. Don't worry about duplicating already posted classes. Once I have a healthy number of interface class names, I'll put them into the system and turn on droid interface submissions, at which point people can report the missing ones piecemeal as they input data, as we've done with the other types of components.
