Is it obvious yet that I love this tool?

Since shields are evened front and back when you enter space, and they evidently do not reset when you remove them from the ship, if the numbers are not averaged, they will throw off the aggregate badly. How are those unbalanced shields handled in the database, how are they handled in reverse engineering? Should we take one shield to space and adjust shields to the front (adjust front shields 4 perhaps) and take the part off. Then do the same thing with the rear shields? Will this give you uber-RE'd shields?
It was once the case that you could use extreme shield adjust front and back to create shields with up to 3800 f/b protection. They're exploit material and anyone who brings them up tends to get flamed mercilessly, so buyer beware. As far as I know it's no longer possible to create them.
I've never RE'd a shield that wasn't a L8 reward shield, so I'm not positive how the front/back thing works, but I think you get the highest of each. Meaning that you should be careful not to use any unbalanced shields that you intend to RE.

Level 7 shields are way out of whack in more than one category. Someone has entered in some very screwy numbers.
And one of the engine or capacitor levels had a skewed aggregate in one category. I forgot to note which one.

How about a way to download all the components we've entered?

This is on the to-do list. You'll be able to pull your stuff down as a CSV that you can open in Excel.
I have a loot piece that doesn't appear on your site:
Capacitor: Qualdex Experimental (unknown model)
Level 10
I'll have all the missing classes mentioned thus far into the system by tomorrow morning, EST. Might get to 'em tonight if my kids cooperate.
When reporting a missing class, make sure that it's not one of the classes with mixed cert/RE levels. Those are currently deactivated for submission.
I have a fix for that problem that I'm going to put into effect soon, couple of days.
This is a really good idea and i hope it gets going in a short amount of time. I personally have hundreds of components that i am willing to input.
this is especially informative for those of us who want to see what the best stats ar for...let's say, they PYR on lvl 6 engines, so we know not to look too hard for anything that is higher than the max values (assuming those max values have been found and inputted)
so as a pilot who hoards space loot, i encourage all of you who read this to input as many components as you can, regardless if they are good or not because it'll provide a better idea as to what the availability is on certain stats
