You have to destroy a complete wave BEFORE the next wave spawns. Four times.

Wow.. Kill a-wings THAT fast? Kinda tricky.. Oh well better give it a try.

UPDATE i tried it and found out that it ain't a-wings that give me trouble is the b-wings. They're so slow and when i try to match speed i can't turn fast enough. And if i increase speed i fly past them and loose time..

P.s. I also took time how long it takes for a new wave to show up. At first its 2 min later when there are more than one wave (ergo i have failed) of fighters to destroy its mysteriously about 3 min, naturally a new wave apears when i have ONE MORE fighter to destroy. Irratating as hell.. grrrr

I have one theory i'll have to try before i give up completely. If it doesn't work its bye bye tie interceptor and dreams of owning a firesprey ship.. /sign

Nah, don't give up. Tell us what your loadout and ship is and what droid programs you're running. We can probably give good advice to help you get it. Though a readthrough of the FAQ would tell you all this too.

Soloed it...however none of my t3 missions for SS were 3 hours long. Longest I had waslike 1.5hours I think, however I do think that uberlong escort missions are a bit uncalled for...

A v4 FC will hold all 5 but nothing else.

Yes,a v4 (tier3) flight comp will hold cap to shield shunt4, engine overload3, weapon overload 3, capacitor overload 3, and reactor overload 3.

mine won't. i can fit all 5 into a v4, but the fifth one never registers as being there. figured they were meant to do that.... now i'm sort of pissed about my buggy flight comps (they all do this on me for some reason)

I wasn't aware it was broken. Hard, to be sure, but not broken.

I am shocked that my guildmate hasn't posted here. He failed the storm squadron first tier 3 mission 9 times before he elicited my assistance. I already have my SS badge and did most of it solo, but counseled him against doing that squad b/c he foolishly refuses to believe in the power of flight computers. Anyway, just about all missions can be solo'd with proper preparation.

1. Heavy Basic ships are your friends until 4000 when you can get actis or bellabub (spl?).

2. Flight computers...need we say more? Lots of posts here about what you need. Personally, I run RO3, EO3, WCO3 (weaponcapoverload), WO3, CtSS 4. Now you may have to kick down those numbers at the beginning. I think engine overload and weapon cap overload are the 2 most important. If you can fly faster and better, you cant get hit. If your cap drains...you cant shoot. So, early on in the infancy of your flying, get those two and build on em.

3. Get the best equip. RE everything. Every level there is superior equipment that is pretty easily found. I have 10 house dedicated to space loot. One for each tier part. Inside each house is one backpack for every ship part. So it is all organized for RE and simple part finding. If i get a good Level 8 shield, I go to the level 8 house and the level 8 shield bag and pull out what I need. Take the time to search the bazaar, save your space loot, and make it work for you.

4. Have fun! Storm Squadron was tough and frustrating and I loved it! A wings are tough. So are those stupid imp ships that shoot out their arse. So are YTs that seem to always hit for a ton of damage. That is what being a space pilot is all about. I have mastered one squad in each faction and I totally enjoyed the different experiences, space commands, and action. Do the same and make space yours!!!

one good trick i have found works with the b-wings...

When a wave with A, and b wings come against me, i boost through their middle, hitting target nearest enemy, or target under reticle if i see a b wing.... once you have passed the a wings, you should soon have the b-wing on target. This one will definately do most damage to you, so make it your primary target.

Now slow down so that you fly a bit slower than it, start turning around, boosting up a bit as you near the complete turn... then slow down again and take it out in a few seconds...

The thing that helps take down A-wings faster, is to use medium speed, so you move slower than it, and just keep on turning.... speed up once in awhile to line up faster and easier, but then slow down again.

but the most important thing you can do to survive bad enemies, is your engine... with high speed and good turn rates, they will rarely ever hit you...

The SoE code :
SOE improvement is a lie, there is only nerfing.
Through nerfing, they gain whines.
Through whines, you gain gankings.
Gankings, leads to sploits.
Sploits leads to banning.
And banning sets us free.

I also having problems with the first mission and after reading this post got the Droid Commands (EO, RO, WCO, WO, and Shield shunt) which does make taking on Tier 4 ships a lot easier.

My problem, I did first part escort the enigneers, then rescue transport from rebels, thenAdv A-Wing, but the next mission is giving be problems, I suppose to dock to it to helpwith repairs, I get there I fight off tier 4 rebels (first time) then second time is was tier 4 pirates, I fight them off and I return to the transport/cargo ship and try to dock and get the message ship refuses to dock (wording might be off). What am I doing wrong? Or how are you suppose to complete that part of the mission?
