Thread: Aye aye Cap'n an idea on an elite pilot prof
Good luck seeing any in space... oh 32 is too low, require 40, 48, 56... 64..... etc....
There you have it... if you have a 60 vs 60 battle going on (yeah right) you'd be able to field ONE capitol ship per side this way... who gets to fly it? not my problem, work it out amongst yourselves... in that 60 vs 60 battle each end every person could own a capitol ship, but you'd have a slim chance of convincing 31 other capitol ship owners to fly in yours instead...
See just letting people HAVE something doesn't mean it's going to be used all the time.
I think you all are getting a little bit overboard on the requirements "TEN YEARS TO MASTER!!!!!" Just make it as the title of the thread says, an elite pilot profession. To get it you set a 60 million prestige (for any pilot that has been in space since JTL launched, this will not be too hard to ask) and you make all 16 (17 counting master) boxes a quest involving all tier 5 ships. And instead of freighters/fighters, the mission ships will be Gunships/Decimators/YT's/Nova's and sometimes vettes. I dont know how many of you have done the new Kashyyyk duty missions, but instead of fighters for the command wing they use Tier 5 Nova's. It was near impossible to beat the last wave (which was 5 tier 5 novas).
Most of your suggestions are about making it time consuming which i totally disagree with. I prefer difficulty over time. Look at the differences between getting mando armor and getting Jedi. Jedi is time consuming, but there are hundreds on every server. Mando is extremely difficult and i believe only 3 servers have crafted a full set. Just because you PLAY more than the casual gamer, remember you all PAY the same amount. So you are not entitled to restrict aspects of the game just because the casual gamer has other responsibilities. To sum up, make it difficult, not time consuming. Time consuming grinds make the game an annoying burden instead of an interesting adventure.
