kind of makes you wonder how darth platypus is planning on "taking a look at pre-rotw ships to see if they need a boost" doesn't it?

Though equivalent to saying 'scale the damage reduction to the ship.'

i don't think i agree either. if you're powering your heavy with level 1 reactors and level 2 caps what the heck else do you have in the thing? almost 20k of my mass goes to those two parts, but then again i'm planning ahead. a small speed sacrifice on the part of a light fighter is going to get it killed, a lot.

i don't see heavy fighters, (with the exception of tri lvl 10 gun grayts, b-wings and the occasional heavy fighter jock who thought he could cheat the system with a light reactor/cap combo) being significantly impacted by the fix. i do see a bunch of people with titanic guns crammed into a 65-95k mass ship having to either cut back to wo2 or drop gun strength down to accomodate a bigger capacitor/reactor.

maybe he's right and people will sacrifice their engines in their little ships. maybe. i sure as heck would'nt. at least there'd be give and take though. there's no give and take now.

hey if it turns out i'm wrong and the majority of heavier fighters do have big problems, then i'll reap the best of both worlds if they do a chassis based mitigation, i don't see why they would though. got crappy 56k mass level 10 guns? sorry, you'll have to bring it down a notch.
