Thread: Your ships, their names, and their uses...
dunelizard: "Swooping Eagle", Mining ship.
krayt: "Typotl Maw", PvE combat
Heavy Scyk: "Heavy Scyk", PvE/PvP combat (like the name? Hehe, it's so other pilots don't think I'm a freakin n00b), so far I've only taken it out a couple times. Stays in dry-dock mostly.
Y-8: "Serenity", mostly a yacht at this point.
YT-1300: "Serenity" (retired), used it mostly as a yacht too. Retired it and carried the name over to my Y-8.
Many here will probably know the "serenity" reference. But I wonder how many will know where the names of the first two ships came from.
Yacht: Serenity. For parties and the view
YT-1300: Rogue Skifter. For RP and the fact that no self-respecting Master Smuggler could be without one.
M22 Krayt: Serenity Blade. My main combat ship for higher end stuff: corvettes etc
Vaksai: Vorpal Wind. Fast attack craft for lower level missions
ARC170: unnamed as yet as I haven't got a use for it...
Planning on a miner at some point and I already have a JSF that I bought but can't use til I ditch Reb...
I got The yatch. Her name is The Big Game Hunter. Its my I want to go places with friends and not fight ship. Also use it to store camo kits and other such hunting equipment.
I have my Kimo. She's been christenned Pennance. I use her for mining. Decent hold and a couple mining lasers. I need a tractor still.
My Rhik. Redemption. I went ahead and got the fins for this one. 3 nasty projectile weapons, a nice Space Bomb launcher a serious shield and big armor. This is my battleship. She is slowbut you don't want to get hit.he used to be my main ship but now is relegated to nostalgic cruises orvette raids.
My newest ship, and my favourite.General Grevious' ship. Christened Vengence. I have somehow mangedto get all the parts in her. I credit my buddy the Ship Wright with my suuccess there. (Caldwell on Gorath folks). We have mamged to get a lvl 7 engine, awesome shield, paper armor, and a big honkin gun 3600 max dmg in tht little thing. This is the front line fighter I have dreamed about.
Well, that's it for now. I am thinking of getting a mining ship and a Krayt

Naughty Pixie - TIE Interceptor - The answer to Lena's Jedi Starfighter. The only ship I have that can keep up with her. Doesn't hit very hard, and doesn't have much in the way of defenses, but she's a good distraction while I was for Lena to blow whatever it is up.
Loyal Snowflake - Heavy TIE Fighter - What I'm flying these days, as I quit Storm Squadron and joined the Inquisition.

Gabrielle - Royal Guard TIE Interceptor - My new day-to-day ship. I managed to RE a whole bunch of stuff into her, and she's a great ship.
Avalon - VT-49 Decemator - Haven't really done anything with this one yet. Probably going to do my best to make it into a flying PvE tank. Plus, it looks really cool, so who cares what I use it for?
Unnammed - JSF - I keep this ship around because I can paint it. That's pretty much it. If I am flying solo, I'm in Gabby, and with friends I am usually in one of our POB ships. So not a lot of call for the JSF. We'll see where I end up going with it. This is the ship I am going to pull from my listing if they ever add my beloved Lambda.
'Crescendo' is an X-wing designed with big guns, bigger engines, and provisions for some fairly big missiles too. I always keep this thing pushed past the limit, and the kind of speed I can coax out of it is unbelievable. I use this ship for everything. Too bad the reactor's about to pop. Killer flame job helps distract from the actual flames produced by the first lucky shot to get past the armor, and with the shields I'm using ittakes at least three Tier 4s to get to the armor anyway. Plus, I kick in the boosters (when I realise I'm hosed), and outrun damn near anything.
'Stormcloud' (pending renaming) is a Y-wing in the typical bomber role, though I treat it the same as Crescendo, which means it's faster than the average bathtub. I take this up when bored, or have someone itchin' to sit in the turret. Very nearly overloaded the mass with the shields and armor I've got on it. Killer flame job just helps it look faster.
'Gunslinger' is a name I'm reserving for a B-wing, in the event I decide to get one. As I understand it, this sucker can carry a whole arsenal - it'd be like giving a man six guns.
Undecided on what to name my Nova, but I'm a skillbox away anyway, so I have time. I was thinking 'Argent Nimbus' or 'Comfort Eagle' or something - DUDE! I've managed to loot a whole crapload of high-tech happiness, so the chassis won't sit naked for long when I get it!

Jedi Starfighter - Independence
My Multipassenger Ship - Serenity (Those of you real sci-fi fans should see where i'm headed with this :-P)
Advanced X-Wing - Firefly Mark II
ARC Fighter - Firefly Mark III
Grievous Fighter - '57 Chevy (j/k) Not sure what ill name this one yet.
Heavy Z-95 - Not sure yet.
I've been flying my Rihkxyrk exclusively, but things are changing. I've been getting tired of the sluggish manueverability, so here's what my immediate plans are:
Rihkxyrk: NRN Abraham Lincoln - Possible mining ship or support ship for helping others level. I'm kind of attached to it still because we've gone thru life and death many times, but she's getting tired.
Dunelizard: <no name since I have to dust it off before painting it> - PvE Fighter / support ship
ARC-170: <no name since I just got it 2 days ago> - Don't know until I load it up and see what it does.
YT-1300: NRN Enterprise - Very disappointed in this ship. I had much higher expectations, probably more than I should have. I'll have to fit this in there somewhere. I love the ship, but not how it works for me thus far.
Grevious Ship: <not acquired YET> - will find out when I get there

I may rename my own Decimator. 'Checkmate' suits me, but 'Flying closet' kinda suits what it's mainly used for right now
I named by Sorosub Yacht to be "Bantha Bobs Loveboat"...
Then I named my Dunelizard to be "Poodoo Avenger"

Traskon is the fictional barony my family was exiled from during the Clone Wars, after a Nemodian-inspired uprising of the native population.
