Hmmm... $100 and several weeks of grinding so I can fly an Opressor, /bstrike3, and missle tomo all at the same time...

Just curious. My assumption is, for what its worth, (as if it does anything) you reported this?

People ask me if ive reported it, and i keep saying it wouldnt make any difference if i did or not. Ive reported other things before (KSE / shield sploits) and it took them 6 or 8 months to act on the one, and the other STILL remains unresolved.

If sony does anything, they'll probably just stop the character transfer w/ items service before it gets too widespread, probably not say anything about it at all, and sweep it under the rug. To sum, this thread, in action, is my report, and damn funny to look at. But im seriously not going to waste my time to file any "offical" report that will only be ignored.

Yep, I wrote up a report a few minutes after I read this. Already got acknowledgement on it, too.

I can't begin to imagine how their priority system works in terms of what gets fixed when--and I'm sure a lot of it depends on how easy it is to fix--but this one kinda seems like it should be sooner rather than later.

Of course, that's what I'd have thought with the KSE disk thing, too.

Anyway, thanks for the info here, that kind of detail's exactly what I need to get in a good report. And as for you, Joken, if you want to really nail me with missiles, I recommend flying a B-Wing for the rest of eternity. Dashka can do it, what's stopping you?

As an aside:

Dont ever bother posting any warnings about bugs or such, on the IGN forums (vault network). apparanlty the xenophonic mods there consider anything and everything thats bug ridden an exploit. The censorship there is nothing short of amazing. Its like being the movie 1984 or something. Really rotten forums. I just got a refresher course in why their boards are an utter waste of time.

I can't really talk about corr forum stuff without permission (which can take a while to get), but if they didn't know about this issue before, I'm certain they do now. So the first step's out of the way, anyway.

Hmmm... Transfer to some server, drop rebel and get imp pilot. Transfer back to Starsider, drop imp and pick rebel back up, all the while dropping my combat skills so that I can have 6 combat profession masterys. Smuggler, CH, BH, Rifleman, Carbineer and Pistoleer, maybe Doctor or CM. Then transfer and drop them for shipwright and armorsmith and transfer back. $200, with my grinding rate about 3 years, and loss of all non-SWG life and I'm set until I cancel the game. Ok, I don't have any of them. A guy can dream, right?

I was master smuggler and novice pistoleer when i transfered. I just trained pistoleer 0/1/0/0 and saw no increase in CL. That is what orginally caught my suspicions. Remastering pilot, being certed in Teir 5 equipment at teir 1, and unpacking and fitting parts into a T/I as a priveteer confirmed it.

which may I add isn't a 'fix' but a change made simply because people are too foolish to work out that when you drop a piloting profession, you lose your skills, thus ship certs, thus ability to access them.
