Thread: So now that Character transfer w/ items is working...

True. But I was hoping to learn a few things from you first hand. Like why I suck so much against a-wings.
PvE, i acutally like chin mounted guns for A wings.
Hitting A wings just takes practice, pure and simple.
Also when dogfighting them, if you target their engines, damaging their engines slows them down some, and makes them a tad eaasier to hit.
Credit Chit. Those silver disc like monetary objects you loot off of NPCs in space, that have an option to "Transfer to bank account" when you click on them.
>>Was there anything you expected to come with you that disapeared?
Not to my knowledge but i picked up a couple objects that i wasnt expecting. A CU plaque and the JTL vet reward option popped up on my first loggin. I was at exactly 81/80 inventory, so i deleted the additional plauqe (i had brought my old one).
>>all your old valuables left behind instantly disapear once the transfer took place?
That would be my assumption because those items are no longer associated with any character on bria. I doubt sony would leave 4 houses free floating without any owner.
>>Did your character suffer any physical changes during the transfer?
Nope. ALthough, no wounds, no FPs either. He came out exactly as i had im dressed. One thing i was sure to do, was remove the privateer bandoleer i had always used and replaced it with a backpack. I was afraid that if i used the bandoleer (since i was no longer a neutral pilot) the game would have a fit on the transfer and auto unequip it or something. Which might be really bad since my inventory was arleady full. However, what i did note was that the Imperial boots and command hat i was wearing before transfer, i was still wearing after transfer. Being on leave at the time, it might have been possible that i didnt have to lose the bandoleer. But that was a risk i wasnt goign to take.
>>Did you attempt to take any items with an ADK applied to it, and was anything lost in the process??
Nope, but a brought an ADK with me
>>I am an old-time creature handler with a lot of beautiful animals I would have to leave behind...
Yup, datapad gets cleaned off.
Clean slate. Im kinda liking that.

Thank you so far for all the information.
I was also curious as to whether or not you are allowed to fill a backpack with all your valuables... since this would help matters greatly. Just to clarify, does the credit chit have a predetermined amount of money on it... or can you transfer all your cash onto it? I assume it has a looted amount, and I do not think I could find one with millions of credit on it.
It seems the best thing to do is bring all your most prized items with you, and then invest all your credits in something like ADK's (or something similiar with high market value throughout the servers)...

So you can transfer 80 items in your inventory plus another 50 items you can stash in your backpack if you have it equipped when you transfer?
Correct.
So what about putting an alt on Starsider? ![]()
Actually I can attest to the fact that most of the PvP pilots don't cheat. There's Harotak, but I think that's about it and he hasn't even been in a pvp event for like a month...

You people keep this up, and I may have to put an alt in on Starsider, just because all the cool people seem to be hanging out there.
Starsider's like a black hole, it keeps pulling everyone in...
Not really sure who's on the server from the forum community and participates in the pvp events other than Resha, Naithan, Halyn, Gwreng, Li', and myself though...
Though it could be because I don't know any of the starsider pilot's forum names.
You forgot me too and I even shot you a couple times on Saturday. Though you may not have noticed since I was flying an Interceptor and could only mount 1 L7 weapon and no missiles.

Yeah, i think we learned from each other.
>>Erm..so..left any nice parts for me to scavenge on Bria?
Unfortunatly, i dont think there is. I made my final decision last night, and went about packing my best stuff on my toon. I havent seen you ingame for awhile, otherwise i would have waited a day of two. Well, not only that, i was expecing the transfer to take about 5 days (pending sony approval), not FIVE MINUTES! I thought for sure id be able to login at least another day or two, but apparently its much more efficent then i thought.
>>but, you kind of defined the Imperial Navy on Bria..hell you -were- the Imperial navy on Bria . [Not saying that int he context of there are no good imp pilots on Bria..there are...but Rapax is very military style and I liked that]
Thanks
Its a shame the imps on bria for the most part just arent intrested in JTL like i am.
>>actually think my goal in game will be make toons on every server [eventually..I know there is a limit to the amount of toons you can have]
I beleive that limit is 8 toons.
>> Duc...keep me posted on Valcyn,
Will do. I was able to keep my name (since no one else used it), so you can find me easy. Positioned myself 3 houses *just* outside of talus imp outpost too, so ill be using that as my main base. I'll be easy to find if you ever come out to valcyn.
