I'm currently working on a Level8 version of The One, using my engine from the Nym Starmap quest. Her top speed isnt as good as some I've heard of, but it's 95.3 to start, so im not complaining. I'm guessing my final PYRs will be in the high 70's and the mass will be around 22k. I need to do some research on stats.

Every stat on the engine is excellent. The PYR stats are as good as a lot of people's level 8 engines, and the mass and reactor drain are so lowthat even Jesus would do a double take. Congrats on finally getting it put together.
Hehe my lvl 6 has almost as good pyr and a mass of 9000, only really falls flat on a roll rate of 69, however my lvl8 has pyr in the 80s but an unfortunately high mass!
Thats the one i tested for the stats I put in the new ship stats sticky by the way!

I don't understand the underlying principles of this thread such as REing etc. Anyone have a link to a thread where its explained? You seem, too, I dunno, use items you loot to make one item better? I don't understand.

Every pilot SHOULD learn as much as they can from the shipwright forum!
I would even suggest taking up a bit of shippy for a while and learning how it works for real ( I did it), there is nothing a shippy likes more than someone who can tell them exactly what they need, bring them the resources and leave them to get on with it!

Tomo, you still RE-ing for other people? I have a nice collection of 6s and a pre-nerf that just dropped below 200 from getting ganked that I'd love to pay you to "tweak"...

Congrats on the motor!

My Level 6 RE engine is a bit older than this one, considering I re'd it back in or around december I think it was.
lets ignore the HP it's been beaten up a few times =P
385hp
530armor
1219.6 drain
9158.5 mass
67.6 pitch
69.7 yaw
69.5 roll
95.9 speed
so Um... i win the lowest drain award? =)

lol, you do actually. That's the lowest drain I've ever seen.. though I don't pay attention to sub-level 6 engines.

Though the drain is extremely nice, I would've waited to hit at least 70.0 on the YPRs.
EDIT: Also, you suggest it's old, so chances are this was REed back when drain was still an REable stat.

It was back then yes. And the number of drops available to get that perfect engine just dind't realy exist (or at the time, I thought I had them lol) considering I didn't eve know of anyone who was master yet =P Thiw as done shortly after JTL launch.

The new centerpiece of my PVP Interceptor: Priceless
Man does it feel good to have that over with. If I'd been willing to wait until the sun burnt out instead of merely through a couple ice ages, I know it'd be possible to hit 73 PYR post-RE.. but a man can only hold out so long before the constant barrage of "New toy new toy!!" from his brainstem takes over.
What makes me so happy about this engine is it's so well-rounded. I've never seen a lower mass or energy drain on a level 6, which has already let me drop my reactor down to a level 1 even running EO4. So not only have I bumped my PYR 4-5 points each over my old, Rebel-beaten pre-nerf, but I've effectively freed up an extra 2K of mass. It's like double Christmas.
The sense of accomplishment in putting something like this together is part of what makes JTL so special.. even if the wait in the meantime can feel like hell.
as of right now I'm sitting on a 1324 drain onePRE(dumb typoneeding edit)RE would be 1271 not an edge really worth mentioning I'm just holding out for mass near yours pre RE and maybe over the 68.6-68.8 I got pre RE for PYR's it'll compare but don't think I'll ever hit that mass before I give up ad RE it

I guess a 1212.5 pre-RE in an L6 would fit the "Legendary" category, then?
Too bad drain's still bugged, it'd be 1167.x-something post-RE.

Energy Drain is not affected by Reverse Engineering. Looks like it will, in the tool window, but the end stat in the finished item does not take the % bonus.
Known bug, just an FYI

That's one nice engine Tomo. I know I'm late posting on this. I recently RE'd my Pre-nerf, i ended up with a 9k mass, with 68.9, 66.7, 68.4, with a 95.9 speed. Don't know what the reactor drain is, but it seems to work failry well in PvP. There are a few LvL 8's out there that can out turn me, but a quick hit to thier engine soon slows them down
Congrats on holding out so long to get the best you could m8.
