Thread: RE question

I've seen it stated that Disks drop approx every 100-300 RE jobs. Some of these have stated that the RE jobs need to stay in your inventory!? Besides wearing a pack with 50 RE jobs...how is this possible? Do you really need to keep your old RE jobs in your inventory?

No, I don't believe that is correct. Though, with all the RE I've been doing lately I haven't seen a single disk drop, so I could be wrong heh

No you do not need to keep the RE jobs in your inventory. The chance of a disk dropping occurs immediatelywhen you hit the "AnalyzeComponent" butoon afterall the parts have been placed inside the component tool. You will get a message stating that "something strange was found" . The KSE disk will then appear in your normal inventory.

I do RE for the sake of RE not for finding KSE disks but my routine is to always RE level 1 loot even if I plan to sell it to the chassis dealer afterwards. Then I just do my normal RE jobs as needed for my own personal use or to sell on my vendors. I manage to have KSE disks drop in both situations. I have been REing for about 4 months now and have made one full Firespray schematic and am holding 9 more disks some of which are duplicates towards my second schematic.

theres a website - argh, cant remember the name, something like swgspaceloot.com or something....its a database of all the parts so you can see how good the stats go on a certain level of engine or gun or whatever. There's a big thread for it, look a few pages back in the Pilot forum and you'll find it

It's just spaceloot.com.

I've been meaning to put mine up there...it's just it's 460 pieces, and I go through almost 400 per night. Always more coming...screenshotting and listing them all would be a MAJOR pain in the ass but it'd be worth it to run nearly every category there.

...what I'm ALSO saying is don't trust every little thing up there.

For example - their L8 weapon data is skewed since some fool loaded a post-RE L8.

Yeah, spaceloot.com is pretty vulnerable on the human error front. Thanks for pointing out the bad L8 gun, I fixed that.

Once I finish fixing the current round of class errors I'm going to sweep through and dump the obviously incorrect values. Once we get a critical mass of components in the system, the averages and standard deviations will be a more reliable number than the min/max.

You might want to put in BIG bolded letters on each submission sheet to not submit already-REed parts, and that people should consult their part to see if the RE level is still listed before listing a part.

You're also missing the Rayslinger from the L10 selection boards. I can't fault you for that, though - they're rare as hell and have been delisted for MONTHS on the Eclipse vendor listings - only recently did it reappear.......for about two days before another serverdown.

My partiality to them is because the 4940.8 I used in my 5237 max L10 monster was a Rayslinger. They might be bugged, but they've evidently got a VERY high damage ceiling.

OK so I've been reading through the various threads to get info on lvl 10 engines and weapons and I have a few questions:

1) regarding engines - if I can RE a lvl 10 with 43k mass, 95 speed, and ypr all over 80 am I doing good? What other stats should I aim for?

2) regarding weapons - if I RE a lvl 10 is 45k mass about the best I'm gonna do? And what about the refire rate - what should I be trying for in this area?

Any input is appreciated and thanks in advance.
