Thread: Has the engine speed curse been lifted???
It's pretty fast, but it is a Fusialthrust 2 which is one of the best engines I've had the pleasure to use. I have one in my Vaksai and another in my alt's JSF. Both have somehwat higher PYR than your specimen but speeds are in the 80s. So it wouldn't be entirely unheard of for such an engine to occur.
I think the reason such engines seem extraordinary and rare is because the people who get such wonderful drops don't tend to sell them - they use them. 
I've got a 13-ton reactor with an output over 23k and a 30-ton shield that has 2555 points per side and a 15.5 recharge... so an engine like that isn't a surprise to me. I just want to know where to find it.

the level 7s that drop nice are Slayn & Korpil "Vortex" Mk3s, the level 8s that drop nice are Kuat Systems Engineering RCT-Z Reactors.

Nope. Just a regular (albeit exceptional)old loot shield, my reward shield is still waiting for one more good part to mix it with. The point is, every now and then you find an aberration that falls outside typically-encountered values.
