There have always been some strange issues with the way these mission Vettes get destroyed, so I'm glad to hear you got it done, Kav. Some really nice advice in this thread.

Only Shoot the following on vette.


Gun5

Sheilds

Engine


If you take more stuff out it is more vulnerable.





The vette on this mission is not "dancing" when you move into a blind spot and even with all guns active, the area behind the engine is not targetable by any gun.


With my Krayt i can get there by using cap2shield shunt and sometimes taking a little damage to the frontal armour. As soon as i sit there, blowing the shields with missiles and then giving the engine a little gun-slap is easily manageable.
