Ground Imp / Neutral Pilot here. Expected the Vaksai, but got the Crimson TIE. Looks like a bug to me. Especially since we both worked hard to get through the missions and got stuck with a ship we can't get certified for.

That's a rather nasty bug. So when you guys got the Heavy X-Wing and Imperial Guard Interceptor rather than the Vaksai, were you unable to deed or fly them?

I've passed this along in any event, but that info would help out.

I too had this problem.. rebel on ground, SA privateer ace.. ended up with heavy X-Wing deed which I was unable to generate into ship (due to lacking the rebel cert's).

Only problem? Doesn't it only have ONE freaking gun?

Why would anyone want one of these things with one gun over, for example, a Krayt?

I started this mission and when I found out it had one gun I gave the whole thing up as pointless.

Level 10 gun+ weapon overload 3 = things go boom fast. The one gun hasn't been a problem for me so far with that combo. I went after things in Kessel (including gunboats)and had no problem, even solo'd the new vette capture/escort, no problem. One overloaded level 10 gun will rip through most anything with easy as long as you're a decent shot. The only problem I have is that it's larger than a dang X-wing. Leads to me being hit a bit more than I should. Luckily with 150k mass, I could put nice shields and a sweet engine in it with ease as well.

I'm not sure what's going on with being unable to deed the Vaksai, as we've only seen this problem pop up in the last couple days, I think, and some people seem to be able to deed it just fine. I did rate it just behind the gated quest on our priority list, though.

Can we nail this thing down any further? For those of you who've gotten the Vaksai in, say, the last two days, have you been able to deed it? If you have or haven't, what's your ground faction? And if you haven't been able to deed it, what're your pilot skills at? Are there any other issues or conditions that may be at all pertinent to the problem?

Drakoon,

I'm not saying you can't make it work for you. I'm just asking WHY is it a good ship? It's a huge target and I can STILL fit more firepower in my Krayt and that firepower is spreadout over 3 weapons for redundancy.

So why would you want to fly one?

I've no idea if I could use the ship, didn't even bother trying as my Alt happened to be a Rebel Ace and could make use of the ship - worked fine except for the Astromech droid initially, but that has since been fixed. In a way I'm kinda glad I didn't get the Vaksai now, the heavy Xwing turns out to be so much better mass/gun wise, and I don't think I would have given up my Krayt for the Vaksai.

Sorry, thought you were just questioning the single gun slot on the ship, my mistake. The reason I fly it is it's agility and speed. Yes it is large for an interceptor, but it's still one of the best mass to maneuverablity ships in the game in my opinion. I've always flown on the principle that if "the enemy can't keep me in front of them, it doesn't matter how big the ship is". The agility keeps the enemy off my tail better than pretty much any Privateer ship other than the Jedi Starfighter and Grevious' Ship. The benefit it has over these two ships is 60k more mass. I can actually take it on vette runs with a Mark 2 Spacebomb launcher in it. So while it's classified as an Interceptor, it is much moreversatile than most due to the options created by it's extra mass. Combine the ability to stay on an enemy's tail with the level 10 gun I mentioned before and I don't really need the extra weapons a ship like the Krayt offers. Sure, it may take a couple more seconds to kill an enemy, but I've always been a dogfighter at heart. Quick kills aren't as fun as the challange of hanging on an enemies tail for a bit while they try to lose you. All and all, it's just going to be a taste/style issue. I find it more enjoyable to fly myself, even more so than my Firespray.

Just to add, I'd be lying if I didn't say that I would love for the devs to make the ship smallerfrom a scale perspective(it's larger than a dang X-wing for crying out loud, though it does have the same mass as a heavy now).
