TBH it is not that wierd... I would suggest everyone haveing this problem try this, also updating your sound card (or subsystem as the case may be) driver could help... keep in mind this draw error is likley just a symptom of another problem, and given that it is only happening to some people it points to the client being changed and incompatable with something on the local PC.

I am not having this problem, but a friend is, and believe it or not, switching the sound settings from 32 to 64 has rectified it for him. Now that's weird
That is just my theory.
This is happening to me, too, and it is NOT a compatibility issue. I have SWG installed on four computers (two at home, two at my place of business) and the vid cards are ATI and NVIDIA. The 3-D space stuff is invisible no matter which computer I use.
I will give the sound settings fix a try, but if that's the problem I will be amazed.
I'm not sure how this will help, but it's not a bad idea anyway.

I'm having the same problem, only I can see the exhausts of ships and after a few hits they appear for a few seconds, then disappear. Same with asteroids. It happens in all sectors. I had to use the Force to do most of the Y8 quest last nite.
I hope they fix this today, as I want to complete the quest tonight. If not, I'll have to strap a Jedi to the front of my ship...

You would be suprised what can cause issues like this... but the fact still remains that I and several others are not having this problem, so there is some kind of common denominator between the client computers with the problem, and it may very well be an issue with the client and certan hardware and you got unlucky 4 times.
No one here doubts the client change for ToOW has something to do with this and I understand your frustration... but by the strictest deffinition it is likely compatability issue.
When was the last time you updated all of you drivers? (not just video card)
P.S. Darn you and your ability to play at work.

Sometimes a ships texture was visible and sometimes not. Laser bolts from my ship were not drawing and neither was my ships texture in 1st or 3rd person view.
The NPC ships were not rubber banding either as the target box was there. Myself and another guild member did comment that our ships targetting seemed to be out too. ie. A direct hit was a few metres to the right.
Also noticed POI waypoints seemed to be off. ie. Autopilot to Kash station and you'd head in another direction away from the station.
I re-logged and the texture issue was resolved but not the POI wp.
Cheers

I have a jedi alt with master wingwalker, if that would help.

Boom still buggered.I conclude that this is not a hardware issue, due to incompatability, but more likely a problem with that account/character directly.Still eager to see if the sound thing fixes it for other people.
very interesting.. what makes your account diffrent from his?
Do you both have jedi?
Have both of you ordered ToOW?
