Yeah, I agree this was the worst Stratics chat they've done yet. They're never that informative, but this one pretty much gave zero new information at all, and almost every question was responded to with a non-answer. My guess is that they scheduled this Stratics chat at the last minute after the huge negative response on the forums that the announcement for the new expansion generated. Normally they announce these Stratics chats several weeks in advance, and there's usually a good number of devs there. This one they announced only a couple days before it happened, and I don't think any devs from the live team were present at all.

I love to pvp in this game.. just because of the "tactics" involved in things.. and in space it's about skill, and not who has more jedi..
As much as I love this game, and the "fantasy" world i live in here, I'm so close to hitting /cancel it isn't even funny. But I love Star Wars so much that I can't bring myself to do it.... but one day soon i'll probably get so fed up that it'll happen..

I'd be less concerned about the lack of a space zone and MORE concerned over the hints of new ships being added. If they are FINALY addeding cannon era ships like the Llambda then ok.. but I have a really nasty feeling we're about to see yet more clone era crap hit the stars and add to an already impossible balance issue.

I got a sneak peek at some of the new ships. They are:
The Viper Fighter (but not the Cylon Raider)
Voltron (the lame vehicle one, not the cool lion one)
F-15 Eagle
The Apolo Space Capsule
and,
Dumbo
This should help add to the starwarsy feeling of the game.
On a more serious note, I'm begining to suspect that this new expansion is an attempt by SOE to grab a little more cash on the way out the door, and that the end of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided is at hand. Maybe Lucas will do a Star Wars Galaxies II. With any luck, he'll get someone other than SOE to do it.

Acutaly i have a friend of a friend who's a dev's 2nd cousins ex roommate, and i scored an exclusive sneak peek at the new fighters.
It requires novice pilot, has 210K mass, and has the same manuverablity as the JSF/B22. Oh ya, you have to be force sensitive to fly it

As for the new expansion, atm I don't care. Too much speculation is bad. I'll wait and se euntil furhter info is made available.

I'm pretty exasperated by this expansion, personally, and while it's always possible some awe-inspiring pilot stuff will be revealed to us at a later date that will make us feel snug in our gumdrop houses on Lollypop Lane, right now I'm not even thinking about buying it. I try to avoid feeling like my professions are being persecuted or abused--usually, that's the result of indifference or a lack of time rather than any real malevolent motivations--but it's hard not to feel insulted that there isn't even a new space zone here.

If Devs will implement (at sometime) "Capital Ships", where the hell they want us to fly them, if they dont implement new (and... bigger) space zones, or make the ones existing larger?

Does it come with a smokescreen effect to prevent missile lock? And are those regulation Imperial seat belts, or cheap Hutt knock-offs?
