I named my YT "Serenity", which I'll probably carry over to the Y-8 when I get one... I've only run into one person in-game who would have gotten the reference, so far... heh (last night I was asked if I could make a certain kind of ship)

Eh, are they making a Firefly movie? Or am I getting my movie starship references wrong?

Yes, the Firefly Movie is called "Serenity" and is coming out in fall, September or October I think

They've made a firefly movie, called Serenity. It was due out this spring, but got bumped to this fall. Seems there's this stupid movie called 'Star Wars' they think will be more popular and didn't want to compete. Pfft. Star wars. I'd take anything based on Firefly over anything based on Star Wars any day. It's just that awesome.

For those who have no clue what's being talked about, go watch Firefly. It's definatly one of the best tv shows ever made in my not so humble opinion. Action, drama, plot, real characters, grit, space ships, and even some kissing if you're into that. It is simply awesome. Every time I buy the DVD's I end up giving them to someone who hasn't watched the show yet. It's so good. So good.
I could easily gush more about it, but just take stock in what I've said. It's beyond awesome.

I'm not going to mine. I'm going to equip my Krayt with a cargo hold and a tractor beam only then zip around sucking up asteroid fragments mined by other players.

Awesome! I watched the Firefly DVD set and I have to say that was one of the best, if not the best, Sci Fi television shows ever. Which explains why it only lasted one season.
