i agree about the deceleration thing, but i dont like the idea of a reverse booster.
i can see it now,i engage a pob ship and all the sudden it starts to fly backwards at 1000+ speed as the pilot aquires a missile lock on me and im still out of range.
they should just double the decel rate on teh chassis and i would be pleased.

That is great news, both on the POB front and the Y-8/mining business. Glad to see some action come out of all the discussions.
Honestly though, I'm expecting it'll still be pretty damn hard to make a POB viable in PVP, if only because of how ridiculous you'd have to make their shields. DP sounds like he's pretty serious about the boost on the elite components, and I think it could very well do the job in PVE, but I'm going to guess it'll take an extremely effective crew to run one well in PVP, and you'll still end up dying more than feels fair.
I don't mean that to sound like naysaying--these changes are sounding awesome, and it's great to see improvements made to one of our biggest issues. I just think the way POBs work is so complex and crazy it's going to take persistence and a few more fixes to bring them around to where we feel they need to be.
