I also think it's no coincidence that they chose Mustafar - a planet that's mostly molten surface with only narrow walkways and paths to traverse.

Sound familiar?

I think we'll NEVER see another freely-explorable 20x20 planet. EVER.

Good point. Sounds like some furry ape planet to me

Well from a design standpoint it makes sense. You get the illusion *cough* of another planet, and they dont have to spend as long in development. Which means they spend less money on it, and get it out the door sooner to make more money off it. Maybe they're taking idea from HL and HL2. Those games levels are very well designed, and give the illusion of a much larger game world when your acutally being feed small sections at a time.

If they want to make limited zone planets that aren't freely explorable, make CORUSCANT already!!1!

>> JTL was developed by a seperate team of devs

WHO?! They need them boys and girls back on the wagon! If those developers arent there anymore (are they?) then it would explain why the ball has been dropped on JTL. Any other developers there would be absolulty clueless.

I was in beta, but not early beta, and didnt play much of beta while i was in it (honestly i wasnt impressed at the time,) so information like this seperate dev team i missed.

yup....both ground and space were started in development around the same time by two seperate teams....

funny that JTLgot 12 months more time to polish up.... I dont follow the red names anymore but it seems to me that most of the original team have moved on or been replaced...usually after they dared to question SOE on its logic....or lack there of....thats the reason the CU is such a reversal from the original system of skills and professions....the devs of old did not want to copy the level based system used by all other MMO's

so of course they had to go......
