Thread: The Ship [email protected] now with 'WO3 as intended' capability

I just found and fixed a bug plaguing Israfael's ship the White Falcon. Sorry about that Israfael! You got caught into that first round of quirks too.

At issue was the system trying to determine the maximum shunt amount possible for a ship that didn't have capToShieldShunt set.

I was able to retain all your data, so you can just jump back in and continue editing comps.

Certain loadouts of it exist - just last night I found I had the space for an L6 engine with an L8 reward shield, L8 armor front/back, and TWIN .7xx/.7xx L8s at .370 refire...

The other loadout is the better L8 paired with an L6

Might be able to fly the dual L8 loadout WITH the QID.

Also, most of the combined drains don't even top 8k for a full loadout, so I might be fine with an L1 reactor RO4ed - I'd have to check, but at a glance, it appears all configs might be WO3-fix ready now. The Interceptor variant is waiting on a .317 refire or better L7, though. I'm not gonna have a .300 rounded paired with a .310 rounded.

I do think that a comments box with each part on the ship registry or just a general one would be awesome because of what Washell said. Only thing is, that you'd probably find me writing an essay about my every choice in part x.x

It's on the to-do list. Here's the rub - I'm going to enable non-owner comments as well, and that's a tricky thing to code. Well, not really tricky, just time consuming, because you have to perform a lot of very careful input validation.

Anyway, it'll be the big piece of work for next week.

I'm also going to extend the chassis profile box to include complete chassis characteristics (YPR acceleration, etc.). The current screenshot area will become a notebook-tabbed multi-purpose section that will also contain the comments area.

Heh, thx. I wanted to point out that it wouldn't let me put my ordience at 0 eps. I don't know if that was intended or not. Also, I think there is a small error in your top speed calculations because I am pretty sure I entered my parts in right but, I only do 19xx in game instead of the 20xx it says I should do. Overall though it is a great resource.

I've still got a few issues to reconcile with ordnance and countermeasures, mostly related to my lack of knowledge. I'm gonna focus on getting the comment stuff done first, then put out a call for help to finish off the nitpicky stuff.

I'm totally psyched to see all these ships going up! You guys are awesome. I hadn't expected anywhere near this level of response.

No it didn't fit, but my Vaksai is the 343 Guilty Spark.

Build it, and they will come

Seriously though, we're pilots. We're all just waiting to show off our ships to anyone that will stop and listen for a second. Thanks for the hard work.

Fair enough. Also, CtSS4 doesn't seem to show up.

Hrm, this one must be circumstantial - I don't have a problem getting it plugged into my calculations for Wrath One.

Is it not coming up as an option on the 'edit capacitor' form?

Oh, and with regard to that speed thing, I think the problem is that I'm taking booster bonus into account after the chassis mod rather than before. Gonna check on that once the kids go to bed.

nice I had considered naming my YKL "Echo 419" but went with Hindenburg since it was a big, easily destructible blimp of a ship.

Could listings be broken down by galaxy in one of the future upgrades.
