Same windows issue with my Y-8... am scared to hear about the Nova, I will launch it later today :/

I was waiting for this publish to finish the Y-8 Quest, so mine is a new one (If that matters any).


I was hoping this would have been fixed with today's hotfix.

Couldn't see out of my Nova last night, still can't see tonight. Though I juts asked a guy in his Y-8 if he could see and he can. So no idea what's going one

Verily, both my Y-8 and my Nova now have completely blacked out windows. Also, the Y-8 *STILL* can't mine anything - Forward mounted mining laser doesn't degrade asteroids.


I am now officially depressed.

Just checked my Nova and, yep, that also has the blackened windows.
So, both my Nova and Y-8...

I sure hope this is a quick and easy fix.

Still nothing about this issue from SOE? This seems like a simple hotfix. I fly my POB alot and I want it back!

The reason for that is a POB is just a house in space, the Dev's do NOT want you to be allowed to store a gaggle of Free Houses in your datapad (originally 3, but now 6) and I don't see them loosening up this restriction in the near future (I have been known to be wrong.....from time to time....)



EDIT: Todays "The Return of Jabba the Hutt" hotfix was kinda disappointing, they added a bunch of SL Icons and replaced the, rather large, confines of Jabba's palace, but they couldn't be bothered to just get some bum to wash my windows for me....

Ditto on the Nova. My windows are mirror silver on the inside. I asked a CSR in chat about it. "The Dev's are aware of the problem and looking into it."

i think i know what the problem with the Y-8 and the Nova's windows. it's a texture problem. some of the textures on othe PoB ships got mixed up in pub24. i know this because a few of the textures in the YT-1300 are mixed up as well. the "circular light" texture from the hallways is on the cockpit frame, and the actual lights have a greyish texture on them. therefore the window problems are probably texture problems as well.

Yeah, my YT-1300 has the same stuff, looks rather odd. Also I was trying out the some newly crafted parts. Got a set of 9600 shields and some paperclip launchers. Parked in a Hutt spawn in Tat and 1-shotted Hutts for a while. Then whenI was headed back to the cockpit, when ever the Hutts would hit the ship sparks would fly up from the deckplates. Looked like something straight out of Star Trek.

Quick correction about the Y-8's Ops Chairs. People are saying they can see THROUGH the windows when in Ops...this is incorrect. They are actually OUTSIDE of the window looking around. If you pan the camera all the way down, you will see the glass of the winow from the outside is coming up through your "neck" (the purplish color gives it away as being the OUTSIDE of the window). What you are actually doing, is shoving your head through the window and looking at space with your naked eyeballs. The bugs just keep on coming! WOOO!
