Thread: Petition for Virago as Master Privateer Ship...

I may not be a freelance pilot, but I would suggest the YKL somethin or another (sorry but I've become really rusty on my starship knowledge). It is also a corellian transport ship from the same makers of the disbanded YT-1300 model. It was the ship flown by Dash Rendar in Shadows of the Empire, and not too bad looking of a transport ship if I do say so myself. More to look at than the YT-1300 at least.

The Star Viper iscurrently the next logical step in the line of ships we get. We have more and more powerful Black Sun ships available to us as we progress, why not have the most powerful Black Sun fighter as our unique single-seat master level craft? HoweverI dont wanna see the SV unless they can get the opening articulated wings implemented with it. That's its signature characteristic.
Consider me signed on to this, for whatever it's worth.

lol i know. as I said I am rusty as far as ships go. But that ship is not the model piloted by Dash Rendar. Bah I will have to find a picture to post. Perhaps it was YTL something? I wish I could at least remember the exact name of the ship. Does no one know what I'm talking about? Anyone read Shadows of the Empire?

Dash's ship was a YT-2400 I believe, the Outrider. It'd be great for another multiplayer ship but not so great for a starfighter. I seem to remember from the SotEconsole game that Dash manned a turret while his LE repair droid flew the ship for him.
Hey why don't we put that in the game too? Droids that can fly your ship with a basic level of skill (flying in slow sweeping arcs to hold the ship steady) while you take to the turrets?

For what its worth...i have links to the SW database for both the outrider (the yt-2400) and the starviper (virago) in my sig.

I agree that master privateer needs a ship of their own. YT-1300 is cool, but so is the Nova and theDecimatior, all of which perform the same.
If the devs are unwilling to create a new ship for master privateers, I suggest a compromise. Make some minor changes to the performance/loadout of the YT-1300. Increase it's speed/manuverability a little, and give it a front mounted weapon or two.
If we do not get a master fighter like the rest of the galaxy this would allow us to use the ship we do get in some extra roles.

i really don't understand why they didnt leave the firespray priveteer only - but now it's too late anyway.
the StarViper is really a great alternative and IMO thats the right decision. The Style Fits, and as part of the story it fits too.

as far i can see all professions, even rebel and imperial pilots agree with us that privateers need a singleplayer master-ship, too (i love to see all pilot professions, regardless of faction, is acting fair for the gameplay here) - so why not take this to the "top 5 issues list" (or is it already?) or make it sticky...

You have my vote for the StarViper, it is afterall, the ultimate Blacksun ship, it just makes sense. Pretty please devs?

Would really love to see this as an addition to the Privateer choices... We need something like this after that... incident .... with the firespray no one likes to talk about
