Uglies are ships made from salvaged parts of other ships. Like a Y-wing with TIE solar panels or an X-wing with an interceptor's cockpit.

EDIT: Apart from the terrible looks which give them the name, they are also notoriously unreliable and generally tend to lose the strengths of their parent ships while having all the same drawbacks. These are ships for the poor, the desparate, the salvagers of the galaxy. They would also be incredibly unique and fun to fly, so I'd support their inclusion.

Further, they'd be appropriate to the time period.

I reckon one day they'll make the Death Star a quest reward ship. It'll have 9000000 weapons and an r,p,y acceleration of 20,20,10. Along with this, it's speed mod will be 3.0 so for your engine speed, it'll go three times faster and will have 10000000000000000 hitpoints.
