After near death from frustration over miy non-mining Y8, and many hours of plowing through the forums on the Y8 bug, I FINALLY FOUND A SOLUTION!!!


With no rhyme or reason... if your Y8 is not producing chunks, try swapping out your engine and capacitor. I did this and am now piloting my fully functional POB mining ship.


(Be sure your mining weapon is in 'slot2')

Is there some reason you don't like the Rihxyrk for mining? It has three guns that are better placed than the Kimo or Krayt (the beams from the wing guns on my kimo never seemed to connect with my target). I would never get all my heavy stuff packed into a Kimo at any rate.
