same problem as others have posted...I cannot mine with the Y8!

My tried and true mark 3 mining laser does no damage at all vs. asteriods (I've tried it in 3 of the turret positions, including #2). Asteroid condition does not change despite my hitting it repeatedly. No chunks break off. No problems equiping these same turrets with other weapons and having them do damage against enemy craft--my problem is specific to mining laser.

Also of note, the POB large cargo hold I bought last night cannot be loaded into my Y8--it doesn't even show up as an availablecomponent in the ship management window (starfighter class cargo holds won't work either).

Interesting comment about the speculation that this has to do with player specific coding. I'm a smuggler, think that has anything to do with it?

as per the cargo holds, Y-8's have their own cargo holds. A Y-8 small cargo hold is 5000 capacity. So that's why the cargo holds aren't working for ya. But yeah, the "mining vessel" is a bust (for some).

I'm unable to blast any asteroid chunks off in my Krayt using my mining laser as well.
