Cut To: A science fictiony classroom some time in the future.

Teacher: And so the Jedi skills in space dead horse has been beaten into a fine paste, a paste that was then used to make glue. This glue is the glue that, to this day, binds the pilot profession together. Any questions?

Student: Yeah. Can the adults hear the baby? I mean, what's the deal with that?

Hi all, I am new to the pilot profession and am wanting to build my skills, but I find it frustrating that I can't use my jedi skills in space. I have come to depend on these skills on the ground and have worked very hard to EARN them, so the likely transition of using those said skills in space seems only fair. Stuff like force heal, AI would be a great advantage and something that would be a well deserved ability for the work I have already put into my skills.

Attention! Attention!

This is an example of how to question of Force powers in space shall be treated in the future. We don't want to do this again and will probably just give you a link to this thread. But, upon reading this, the question of Force powers in space arises a second time, we will do what we feel is right. You have been warned.

That is all. Move along, move along.

LOL, you know what I find funny? There are more posts on this thread than there are on the capitol ship thread. Hmm, which one do you think we feel more strongly against.

Some people are like slinkies; pretty useless, but still fun to push down the stairs.

I'm sorry, but I really feel that jedi skills should remain on the ground. Space is a twitch game, dependant on your components and your hand eye coordination. There really are very few numbers involved in calculating skills other than your pirate trap/bomberstrike/missile lock. SO that being said, to introduce those numbers into space, would make it a requirement basically to add in the numbers from my ranged defense skill AND my ranged accuracy skill. Oh, yeah I also want my /dogatemyhomework to work in space too, which would allow 10 minutes of confusion to all opposing ship systems so that I can run away.

Sorry for bringing this up again, I had to post. Your responses had me laughing so hard I was crying.

The Ranger forums had it in there.

Watch it, Smugglers have claimed /flingpoo as one of their skills along with /eatbeerandpie and /talklikepirate.

Heck, I'm a 2233 pilot who's never fired a missle, used a droid command, or called in one of them thar fancy schmacy pirate trap thingies so I really don't think of pilot as one of my profession. But even I think jedi powers in space is ludicrous. It isn't just the master pilots.

Call me naive, but why would jedi want to artificially inseminate livestock in space?

You're reaching.... go slow, work your way into the thread, pick one of his later posts and try again. We've had 16 pages to get warmed up, you can't just jump right in like that, and expect to make it.
