Good lord, what a mess lol.

Directed tothe original poster: watch the movies. When Obi-wan had a missile creeping up his@$$ he didn't use force push to deflect it, did he? Nor did he use force lightning on the droids that werecannibalizing his ship.

Please Tomo, get this ridiculous thread locked.

Yeah its still going.

And ya know? Why bother to lock it? Seriously. In two weeks time, another "ME ME ME ME ME" jedi wannabe will come here and post another one, and this thread will revive itself, only under a different name. Im at the point where id rather just have it all in one thread, and one thead only.

The above post does not represent the views or beliefs of the poster, his countrymen or government, or anyone he remotely knows or has heard of, though in a perfect world he would be the government and his word law. The above post is also wholly fictitious, and any resemblance to any persons or entities living or dead is purely coincidental. Unless, it sounds really cool, in which case its all true, really.

ROFL!!
I get the same impression, especially considering the content of some of those posts.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

Well, he hasnt said anything worthy of throwing him on the BBQ here has he?. Lets not have a witch hunt.

Again, locking this thread is pointless. The exact same thing is just going to happen again.

I think what we need, is community compilation post, with every explanation and reason why jedi anything simply isnt' going to happen here, make it a sticky, and summarliy have every other thread with jedi in it locked with a quickness. Put it all in one thread, and be done with it.

This thread, at this point, is basically to a dead horse what the iron in our blood is to the stars that spawned it, but I think it's worth it to say that, everything else aside, the notion of extending jedi skills to space conflicts on a fundamental level with the very philosophy of JTL. Furthermore, as evidenced here, few if any of the community are interested in any such change, possibly because many of the things that drive so many players to space are directly tied to what's been suggested here.

If the community's opinion were to ever change, however, I would of course represent that view to the devs. Right before I quit.

But for the record.. I don't care what powers you gave jedi in space, I'd still kill them 50:1.

Which probably happens to be the reason you are THE best pilot or at least in the top 3 best pilots on Starsider...

Now join the rebels and suddenly the imperial side will start loosing a lot more often.

The original request was an embarrassment to the entire Jedi profession.

Intelligent response? Probably not the most intelligent, no. Absolutely true? Yes.

And this thread is no "black eye" for us. It looks more like a knock out punch. Yes, we're letting him have it even after he has admitted defeat (withdrawl is defeat), but that shows me exactly how passionately we feel about our profession. The only black mark on this forum are people who are simply not good enough to get through pilot on their own skills, and rather than ask for friends to help them or advice from those of us who do this every single day, they come in and demand that they get special treatment. And for what? To add another badge on their list of them? To tell their friends "I'm a master pilot"? Because they obviously aren't in it for the flying. If they were, they wouldn't be asking for the game to be adjusted to fit their needs. THAT is the dark mark here, not our responses to them.

Too bad this isn't an EQ forum. Right about now would be a great time for some "Dead Ranger" jokes.
