I represent the people who are sick and tired of people who are sick and tired of being sick and tired...
Telling people to stop petitions ain't ganna make people stop, Psiko. We all know they go unread by developers, but it's a way for people to see if others feel the way they do about issues or thoughts. And if there's enough voices, the correspondent should take note and bring it up with the devs. I came to this realization recently after trolling a few simply because they were petitions.

Well, being that the was nothing to sign in the first place, wouldn't it be something like /signerrorundoroboot?

We've managed to avoid petitions in here for the most part, since we're all intelligent enough to remember that the Dev said they ignore them anyway. I dunno if it was just random chance that two started today or what, but stow it. If it's that important post in the Pilot Issues thread. If you feel you MUST post a petition, put it in JtL discussion.

Although I do agree that petitions are relatively pointless for this game, it helps the players who are upset to vent their frustrations in a constructive manner, while in fact giving the Devs valuable feedback on what players want. Its highly unlikely that SOE would admit to acknowledging the petitions, but it still is a nice tool. Not to mention I think players are entitled to an opinion and should be allowed to express their concerns, after all we are paying for the game.
I say let em have their petitions, I'll participate, so long as the petitions are truly worth /signing.

Ok, you just shot yourself down in the first run on sentence. Petitions = whining. Whining = non-constructive crying. Pilots do not cry, we go to Dantooine/Endor/Dathomir to regroup.
