JSF is a n00b PvP ship, for those that need the extra advantage to score kills, fly your Interceptor, Advanced or Awing and people will think youre a god once you start taking out JSFs
It is something I don't underestand. You get a very nice ship, that looks cool, has great handling, you can stuff some nice parts int it and then some people keep calling it bad, because it is too good. What's wrong with that? This game is to enjoy it, not to make you suffer, right?
I love JSF and it makes me proud that Lord Vader gave me it. I don't care he mass produces them and gives them to everyone who wants it, it's still feels nice.

The point here is that JSF is THE BEST ship in the game hands down (maybe tied with the bugged RGI). There is no reason to use any other ship if all you want to do is win, for Imperials or Rebels since they can use it too.
So why don't we all just use the JSF? Because that looks increadibly stupid. In an Original Trilogy game, both sides are going to fly some out of date piece of junk? Oh yeah, that's just I wanted for my $15 a month.
On Bloodfin, in our weekly PvP events we discourage the use of these ships and our veteran players work hard to help the newer guys outfit chassis that are balanced and fit the time period. We all have a lot more fun in these battles and it looks and feels like Star Wars, imagine that!
The fact of the matter is, the JSF is HORRENDOUSLY overpowered compared to the other chassis... and for that reason, people who truly take pride in their PvP piloting skills won't touch them with a 10-foot pole, and some of the more obnoxious ones will openly sneer at people who use them. Whether or not either of those things bothers you should determine whether or not you use one. Simple as that.
Myself, I think that the JSF deserves a pretty sizeable nerf, and hope it gets one. I can say that because I own one, and I use it frequently to grind parts I need to outfit my Advanced.I'm not holding my breath though, it's more likely that the next expansion will introduce ships that are even worse.

Depends on how you look at it. Better in performance, worse in effect on the actual game.
