Thread: Arc-170 is a faction-specific only ship According to CSR....
Used to be a known bug when trying to generate these ships that if you didn't have over 5 badges it wouldn't generate properly. I know there are other bugs that are also stopping you from generating the ship, but if you are new to the game you can get some exploration badges quickly and see if that fixes it.
What he said was true...from a certain point-of-view. You need to be part of the Rebel Ground Faction in order to take the quest, just like you need Imperial Ground Faction to do the JSF quest. But in order to generate the ship and fly itall you need is 4xxx in any of the 3 piloting profession factions.
The only Faction-specific quest reward ships are the Advanced X-Wing, RGI, and Vaksai.
And no, I don't have 77 SP invested in being a CSR, but sometimes it seems like I do.
