After mastering SA, you get double XP. Master either a Rebel or Imp squadron, you'll get 3 times, master one of the other type, you'll get 4 times. You can also toss together a Dunelizard right now and leave it in your datapad to make the other Privateer squadrons easier - you can use the Dunelizard when you get the ship cert no matter the parts in it, you just can't put higher-level parts in it without the cert.
