I'm currently 4333 Imperial pilot, and my TIE Adv. has only got 65k, but is damn manueverable. I really want better mass, because I'm running around with some lower end equipment and a single weapon, and no armor. I think I've currently got a level 2/3 reactor
course it's pretty damn nice. But ANYWAYS, should I go 4343 for Bomber Strike 2, or 4433 and buy an Aggressor and put enough level 8 components in it to make it worth it? Downside of Bomber Strike plan: Lower mass, hard to fit new equipment in, no armor. Downside of Aggressor plan: possibility of being a complete failure (not in the long run) because of not gettingenough performance out of it.

I went the 4/4/3/3 option.
Since you have the 4/... box you could also try and do the quests for the jedi starfighter which bumps you up to 90k mass.

Or for that matter get a TIE Heavy Variant with 95k mass.....
You might also want to think about 4334 and using some more advanced droid programs. I know when I was leveling at this stage I didn't have any level 8 components so it didn't make sense for me to go 4433. I guess it really depends on what your flying style is. Some pilots just need the massive mass ships to have a good loadout, and some of us squeeze every ounce of mass into small fast fighters.
