slightly off-topic... but is a 1485 drain L8 engine a "use-for-RE,-no-question" or can i do better

There is ALWAYS something better
That being said, the better thing usually shows up AFTER RE job is done
But yah, I would use it. My min usable, personally, is 1500.

Level 8s seem to have surprisingly bad reactor drain stats--certainly worse than both 6s and 10s--but you can still beat that. I'm not sure what range to give you to shoot for, but 1400 should be achievable.

I've got a 1300+ drain, not sure on the exact stat. That, and my 102 speed QID are the only quality level 8's I've ever lated. Erm, Higgins? I hate you now too. Nice find though!

As for drain, I have *ONE* in the 1300 range, and I've easily looted over a 1000 in the past three months. They ARE that hens-tooth rare. Should make 127x-something post-RE.

Looks like I need to run my friends account through starmap a few more times.. 1st run I got a 102.3 TS QID, rest have been junk since. I knew with that first one that it would be downhill from there.

i got a 16.18 regen protecto unRE'd.
