Thread: RotW Fighter Problem = JTL Beta Issue?

There are in fact 2 sets of statistics governing PYR on chassis, one set can be seen, the other was hidden early in JtL (though it appeared on engines after installing them, not on the chassis).
One is *PYR acceleration* and the other is *PYR Modification*.

So if the engine has a Pitch of 74, and a chassis mod of 1.2, then in effect it has a Pitch speed of 61.7, not 74.
The hidden statistic, which is Pitch acceleration, is in a range from 150 (worst) to 600 (best). These statistics were hidden from us but still exist.

The easiest way to *fix* this issue is to set *all* PYR acceleration values 100% mass allowance relative - a 12k mass ship would have 600, and a 150k mass ship would have 150. Period.

My guess is, the PYR stats for the new ships are, as implied by the original post, 600,600.450.

That would severely alter ALL the ships' performance in JtL, but would also more accurately dictate and define the roles of every ship.

(it's not the PYR speed that is the issue, it's how quickly you get to turning speed maximum. I can make my oppressor (or any ship) fly backwards and/or sideways, it just takes a full loop for some, while others can hit it in a 1/3 of a turn).

i own a greivous fighter, and i concur, the ship is insanely squirrely at high speeds, so much so that i actually have to decelerate to to drop the the ypr of the ship to get a bead on anything, and it is very touchy when it comes to controls, the slightest nudge will send you off into space, away from the target, makes for great fun while dogfighting in a nebulous area of space with 4 or 5 other fighters creating lag.
but i dont see it getting fixed. at least not anytime soon, and again i can agree with the same with the heavy z95, same touchy control, sliding everywhere.

edit- this is with all crafted components, after the SW love, but the engines still only have a ypr in the low 60's lvl 7 with most experimentation put into speed, arount 105 or in the mk4, not a loot engine with ypr in the 70's.
