That's probably a good idea, however, it may be a bit early to be worrying about it now. Once the RotW beta begins, we will be able to take a closer look at mining, and alert the devs of the issue beforehand. Since this is a "disappearing item" type bug, it will take high priority on their lists.

Considering all the simple yet totally moronic things that have slipped into live over the past several releases, and the paniced rush to get this thing slapped together on time, I'd guess it's even money it gets missed. (I imagine a coding team living on coffee and 3-4 hrs sleep a night.) Packing up one's ships seems worth the effort.

Trust me, if there's the potential for anything to mess with my ship, it'll be packed up so fast it'll actually be sent back in time.
