Heh...I don't know...I've looted a *lot* of level 8 shields, and I haven't picked anything below 29k mass. They get a stealth nerf?

I have the same shield, 15 recharge and 27k mass, and I looted the 27k shield recently on my Nth BS duty. loadout looks incredible, I hate you too, not for your shields tho, just in general. ohh and props to you if you can get a lock on an RGI with your missiles. Id change it up for IR2s but you seem to know what ur doing... And of course, props on using standard X. Most JSFs and Bel22s shouldnt really be a problem for you tho...

I find that most RGI pilots are so assured of their invincibility that they'll (foolishly) stay in a turning fight with a ship that's packing a more maneuverable engine and lower corner velocity. All I need is 2.5 seconds for the MKIII Proton lock. In fact, when closing with an RGI, I slow down as much as possible to allow for the missile lock (and to throw a fusilade of fire at his most vulnerable quadrant). By the time I get tone, they're usually in the no-countermeasures-possible range of less than 150 meters. I also target the reactor to make sure that the MKIII Proton shot will be a kill.
I've only killed less than 10 of them so far. And only two of them have been missile shots.

I'd also like to know if people have noticed this. Fora fewweeks after RotW came out, I was looting tons of good stuff. Doesn't seem that way now.

Very nice loadout. What are the stats on your booster? If you need a little more mass for armor, a Mark I or Mark II crafted can probably be made that is close in speed, acceleration, and burn-time. Probably can't beat all stats, but it would be lighter.

The booster is 26.7 speed with a burn time of about 15 seconds. It's the RE'd level 4 Reward Booster.

Crafted Mark I is 13.5 seconds 26.4 speed 28 accel 1050 mass and Mark II is 14 seconds 28.6 speed 32 accel 2300 mass for mark II. At least, they can be made that way. Both have 6 points in energy and 9 in consumption to get that burn time. They can be made a little lighter at the expense of acceleration and/or speed. Some options for you if you want to try to squeeze in something a little heavier...

Eh, whats this got to do with your xwing besides you packing a MKIII proton
(when i was an RGI pilot - i flew like hell. Logic was: If they dont hit me, they can't complain about my ship.

RGIs are about the only ship that I can't consistently gun down due to the hit box issue. Somedays, you just gotta shoot a missile at the bandit.
