Space lanes could be the GCW in space. Like bases are on the planets. The empire and the rebellion must keep their lanes open while shutting down the enemies.

I dont like the idea of piracy, but i like the idea of bording. A disabled vessel could not stop an attacking ship from bording. POB ships could have crew just meant to board.

Maybe if you are killed in space aboard a POB ship it goes against your "space GCW".

Maybe blowing up opposing mining vessels would also help the cause in the war...

Awesome Ideas. JTL still has so much untapped potential. Hopefully after RoTW and subsequent hotfixes JTL will finally get the love that LucasArts stole for RoTW.

The componets idea is pure gold though, but you would need to be vurnable{sp?} while you were stripping the ship.

I don't think it would lower shipwright business any more than the component loots do, as any ships pirated in space and captured would be of sub-standard quality. They would be sold to the chassis guy at "salvage" rates if you didn't want to use it.

To answer the second point, I would think that if you were in a fighter and raiding a freighter or something of the like then your ship would certainly be vulnerable, but so would the freighter you docked to. Imagine the headached if you wound up blown ot hell along with the freighter! LOL!

Besides, this is about content!
