People actually go to DS to PvE? Blasphemy! BURN THE HERETIC! Seriously...whats the point in destroying the ISD...any two-byte pilot with a tri-cannon can do that.....What is impressive, is outflying a bomber strike, next to the isd, and still killing the caller of the strike who is in the bay of the ISD.

Points in destroying the ISD:

1) Lag relief

2) Massive influx of faction points from rapid destruction (500 a pop)

3) Boredom

I know those things, my point was its not that impressive, and is rather just annoying that people seem to think its cool, when just anyone can do it.....The lag relief is necessary at times though.

...here's your answer.

In short, I direct this toward all "rookies" who believe they should be left alone in a free-fire zone. For noted veterans, enjoy the screenshot's humor.

And as I replied, killing the ISD purposefully to purge the zone is tantamount to shooting yourself in the foot, as the ISD is the originating point for Imperial spawns. The respawns are exponential - after the destruction of a "landmark," the spawns are dictated by the amount of spawns in the zone.

So naturally, when you're starting from ZERO, it takes quite a long time (24-48 hours) to get back to a lucrative number of spawns. This isn't HELPED by the fact that a reset happens NATURALLY every time the servers are taken down.

It doesn't take that long to have a regular amount of spawns coming through. Also, the DS does need resetting occasionally, however those morons you encountered were erm..morons.

Usually, by the time they mentioned dueling on the ground I'd have replied "Ok, I'll meet you in five minutes on Tatooine" then get someone else to see ifthey turned up while I continued in DS or whereever I was. Usually I just put them on ignore straight away these days, or just don't reply and read their abuse. Over an hour spent on the ISD? Crikey...

I blow it up on Starstrider sometimes just because it's fun to make big things go boom. But I also still like killing vettes too, so I might be a little odd. But I only do it when DS is empty. And like I said, if I'm in DS as an Imperial and you go for the ISD, you're fair game.

Should I bring up the pilot who sent me a tell after I killed him explaining to me that he had already died twice to the ISD and had been working on it for 20 minutes, and to please leave him alone?

I was blown up when fighting the ISD once, got a tell: "Sorry, thought you were an NPC B-Wing".

Was funny

I remember when I saw you in your B-Wing and sent you a tell saying I didn't need the kill that badly.

"Now that's not even a remotely fair fight" iirc, followed by the kills comment. Only day I regretted not having missile launchers on board
