Thread: Need advice reguarding two engines.
The Quantum Ion Drive in the first pic is a decent RE, but not a particularly good one. Kinda on the low end for speed.
The reward engine in the second pic is a POST-NERF. Pre-nerfs had 92.2 speed, post-nerfs have 79. Now that shipwrights can craft comparable engines that are replaceable, prices onpost-nerfs have gone through the floor. A non-RE'd pre-nerf (or RE'd with good stats and condition) would still go for millions, tho.
The original engines were 92.2 speed with the same YPR.
I'd never consider paying that much for such a slow engine since you can now buy crafted engines that are almost as good as the original pre-nerf engines.
My simple answer would be no to both. The first is a post RE engine that is just average at best. The other is a simple POST nerf reward engine.

Neither engine is worth anything like millions, IMO. I Re'd a lvl8 with slightly better stats out of a reward engine and some lvl8 loot I got from somewhere. Could have done better, but I ran out of room and got tired of waiting for something outstanding.
I bought a Re'd lvl6 with better stats I think for about 50k. Nothing special, but lower mass than anything I had at the time and the price was okay.
Personally, I think it would be cheaper to get a Nym's engine, then buy or loot some lvl8 stuff and get it re'd. YMMV.

This is the plain ordinary freelancer reward engine post nerf. You got one with the exact same stats while proressing towards ace in a squadron, although the name is based on faction. (It is Incom Military Grade Engine for the rebels for example.)

The QID is not a topshelf engine, but it certainly is good.
3mills is not a unfair price.
The second engine, IS a pre-nerf engine. Not even close to a 60k price tag.
A real Megadrives was 92.2speed. (I still got 1 un-RE'd left)
Whoa, really? Maybe it's just a different reward, I dunno, but everyone I know who got their rebel reward engine at the time I did had 92.2 top speed.
My bad though.
TYPO! Supposed to be ISN'T keep getting pestered here at work

I would say no...I got a 118.9 33K mass engine for 2.5mil
Are you bragging about that or looking for comfort? I guess your server's economy is a lot more inflated than mine. I sell 118.5 speed mark V engines for 150k, and that provides a very good profit margin.
