Me too i wanna ride on a decimator and a yt1300, i own a Nova that i dont fly because no one wants to fly with me, a Bwing, Gunboat killer, awesome firepower, just handles like a cap ship, awing, ewwww, the lack of fire power is terrible, taking on level 4 aggies was almost deadly for me. and then there is the xwing, the perfect balance, 3 guns, 1 ml, nice speed, very manuverable, im in love, I have a nice xwing with 101k mass on it, and its awesome, but its also the same xwing i used to master, so it has only 100 chasis hp left. lol.

The Decimator is the best MP ship in the game. Kudos to the designer for that piece of artistry.
As for regular fighters... I'm still quite partial to the X-Wing.

I really enjoy the Decimator in terms of interior. Very cool ship. In terms of Star Warsy feel the YT-1300 wins the day.
Right now I enjoy my Kimogila due to the decent mass (110k) and the 3 gun mounts. I've got it set up nicely currently, but with 903 condition left I think I'll be replacing it soon.
In terms of agility I think the Tie Advanced wins. The A-Wing is great but the Tie Advanced has the mass needed to get the job done.

Maybe he meant the 2nd weapon mount. T/A is one up on that over the A wing and it shows.

Ah but the A-wing is slightly harder to hit. So I would say that they are pretty balanced overall.

That's basically what I meant, the mass helps get that second hardpoint on there
Oh, and I don't PVP so the ship profile realllly doesn't matter much to me. NPCs end up hitting you no matter what.

I have flown them all as many other pilots have done. I would have said the Krayt hands down for PvE. Its a great ship. But I am leaning a bit more towards the Advanced now as it is soo much harder to hit in PvE and PvP. My favorites in each faction:
- Rebel: X-wing an A-wing. X-wing for its great offence and the A-wing because its just a blast to fly and so small (smallest profile to-hit)
- Privateer:Krayt. Krayt about the best balaced ship and can take a gunner.
- Imperial: Advanced and Opressor. The Advanced is about the best PvP and PvE ship out there IMHO

The advanced is probably one of the most unrecognized/unappreciated ships in the game.
Sure the A wing has a small profiler and is harder to hit. But the advanced isn't exactly all that large of a target either. Manuverablity wise, the advanced is either on par or greater than the A wing (according to the stats listed in the pilot FAQ, one would beleive its acutally slightly more manuverable then the Awing)
But the advanced has two gunmounts. This goes a LONG way. Sure both have 65K mass, and highly manueverable, but that 2nd gunmount is what makes all the difference. With the proper REing of equipment you can squeeze in a 3600 damage L8 blaster and a 2900 to 3000 L7 blaster in this ship, and not have to sacrafice much if anything at all. The T/A arguably has the best speed to manueverablity to firepower ratio in the game.
I think most rebel pilots kind of scoff at 65K mass in either the A wing or the T/A. Frankly most are probably not used to dealing with low mass - and as a rebel pilot, neither was i. But mass isnt a great of a limiter as most people think, and with the proper equipment selection, youd be amazed what you can do with 2 gunmounts on a 65K mass chassis.
Now if i had a 100K mass chassis with 3 gunmounts.. i could make miracles happen *evil grin*
Which leads me to the other "great ship" of the game. THe xwing arguably has the best firepower to mass to manuverablity ratio in the game, i miss that ship dearly.

They is no "best ship". I could go on, about how I love my A and X wings, but look at the thread, almost everyone has a different opinion of whats best. Thats whats great about JTL. The ships fit different profiles.

i realy feel its the Pilot that makes the ship good. Iv flown in most ships and it all depends on the pilots skills.

On my eighth mastery...
I have to say, all in all, the X-wing is still the fighter I'd consider the best. It has the ideal combination of mass, firepower, and maneuverability...and it isn't *that* big a target in large-scale PvP.
That said, I really enjoyed flying the Dunelizard as a freelancer. Great craft.
As far as Imps go, I logged the most hours in an Interceptor. It really needed another weapon mount to make it an extraordinary fighter, though I have to say that, while the Imp starfighter seem a bit light on mass and firepower, their maneuverability and, just as importantly, pilot specials make up for it, at least in PvE. (Pilot specials are worth jack in PvP.
