For pve i always use my heavy x-wing with a reward shiled 2400 front and back 2 3600 max damage guns a leval 3 reactor some ok armour leval 5 a leval 5 crafted capacitor and a 100.9 top speed engine i love my ship

I use the Crimson Tie Interceptor:

Engine: RE engine from the starmap quest. This puppy spins on an atom

Shield: RE lev 5 1.1k shielding front/back

Weapon: RE lev 9: does 4.7k damage

Capacitor: RE lev 3

Reactor: Any lev 1 that produces atleast 1k energy. I go through 1 of these per week due to overload damage

Droid interface: Lev 1

Counter measure: sensory decoys. puts a crimp in those cheezy missles the NPCs and players use.

I have no problem taking on those 5 gunboats or the 5 Novas at the end of the new tier 5 missions. In PvP, I just have to pray I don't get hit, 1 hit and I'm a gonner. But I am a tough one to aim at.
