The Vaksai with a nicely REd L10 gun is a but slower on the toughest PvE targets, but it's not really noticeable. In PvP the amount of damage you do is far less important, so having 1 big gun isn't much of a liability.

It may handle worse than the KSE to you, but the weapon placement is superior. Part of the reason you "lost time" using the KSE, is even though you had 2 L10 guns, I doubt you were scoring hits with both of them 90% of the time even. A Krayt may have pain in the rear wing guns, but 2 L10 guns on the chin and forehead mow through things.

hmm i do kinda see your point there on the weapon placement. i'll dig out my krayt and give it a try and time it but i cant see it doing as well time wise as the b22

well theres about 2 to 3 minutes in it. the krayt is indeed 2 to 3 minutes faster.
and with some more re 10 guns it is likely to get a bit faster. go figure.

I have to agree with the comment on Weapons placement on a Krayt. While I have not piloted one yet, I did run gunner in one for a few Duty Missions. The front end weapon placement on the Krayt REALLY does make for good hitscore ratios, if you're a good aimer.
One thing I'm curious about... why does no one mention the Rhikxyrk? 191k Mass, 3 central cluster weapon mounts, real tight 'reverse v' firing pattern.. and the thing can MOVE given an even remotely good engine. Hell mine has a mediocre engine with EngineOverload3 running, and it spins hard!

The Krayt is THE heavy fighter platform in the game. I didn't think I would like it, but once I stuck a decent lvl8 engine in it, the thing was killer in PvE.
If you can shoot accurately, the Vaksai is the ticket for PvP. I love flying something that's not just another JSF/Bel
