you need to be a master pilot to get to deep space.

once you are master, you need to go to a specific space station and talk to the operator and you'll automatically be warped to deep space. rebels go to a base in dantooine space, freelancers go to dath space, and imps go to endor space. (don't have wp for these, but you can probably find them quickly enough under the sector maps (press "v").

this is the same way to get to kessel, where you can go before you are master.

beware... deep space is pvp enabled all the time.
