well until they do something about either the old ships or the new ones we will have a better time id think with this kind of setup .. makes the pobs more fun to bring out, and you know you can always get another crafted what ever i would bring a few extra engines and reactors in my bag so i could land and toss them on head to repair anything i dont want to decay like a pre nerf di ... i like the idea of using crafted parts in an event like this death isnt such a big deal its a chassis and parts you would not mind grinding up a bit for the sake of fun... and i cant wait to see the video. if we had an event like this on lowca every week or every 2 weeks i would come every time .. maybe even set up a xwing / tie intercpter / dunelizard with same set up .. but i see why the z95 , tie and skyck.. they all have only 1 gun .. if we had an x wing tie inter duneliz fight people would yell that well its not even they have 1 or 2 more guns than we do

You cant take the sky from me!

Well see how long it lasts. Notice how were avoiding ships like the B22/JSF/RGT ?

Normal pvp scenario, ill wager intrest won't last as long.

well if it was unrestricted, it would could come down to you and me and we would fight without ever killing each other until either we got too tired or, more likely, bria crashed

Just tested the fighters with the specified mk V engines/lvl 3 crafted guns and mkIV shields one vs. one and it's fun. The damage is good enough for fighters but it'll take a lot to kill a POB ship .

Should be a laugh.

Ok guys. Erm, I kinda realised posting this on the Bria forum would be more related to our server but......not all Bria pilots read the Bria forum [and I don't blame them. There're some people more volatile than yours truly over there ].

But yeh. We more or less figured out the setting for Saturdays event and I really hope it works. I'll be FRAPS'ing the whole thing and [providing I can compress it to small enough size] be posting it somewhere for all to see and reminisce about .

But ok. Now for the Important Info.

FIRST OF ALL, GENERIC MULTIFACTION RULES:

1.No loadkilling

2.No flaming/griefing etc..if you have a grievence, tell me and I'll have a friendly neutral oppinioned word with the 'griefer' in quesiton. Most of us who fly are reasonable sentients so I'm sure this rule is just me preaching to the choir.

3.No exploited parts. In fact, this Saturday we have a very specific set of rules for how ships are set up so listen up folks!

[I really like this pink colour btw... ]

THE SETTING AND 'STARSHIP CLASSES AND RESTRICTIONS'

1. STARFIGHTER PILOTS: TIER 1, HEAVY STARTER SHIPS ONLY PLEASE.

As well as this, you are restricted to these type/levelparts or lower [if you want ]

  • Mk Vcrafted Engines or lower

  • Level 3 crafted Weapon where Rebels have RED CANNONS and IMPERIALS HAVE GREEN CANNONS

  • Mk IV crafted shields or lower

Anything else may be reverse engineered loot, such as Droid interfaces etc.

There are no restrictions on Droid commands, so feel free to use whatever ones you can get to work, I don't think they'll reall outbalance anyone really.

We are using crafted engines, weapons, shields on the Heavy starter ships because they all have similar r,p,y accelerations and with all the same equipment, no one pilot will have any advantage over anyone else. PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF FUN STICK TO THE RULES AND PLAY FAIRLY .

So basically...

REBELS FLY HEAVY Z-95S

IMPERIALS FLY HEAVY TIE FIGHTERS

FREELANCERS FLY HEAVY SYCKS

MORE INFORMATION!!!

POB Ship will be welcome too. Any POB Ship too. The only equipment restrictions on these will be no level 10 guns and no missiles. In fact...

NO MISSILES PERIOD.

AND FINALLY...

This event will take place in the Yavin system. Its a lightly populated system and rather pretty too.

START TIME: 6PM EST onwards

EVERYONE WELCOME! BRING YOUR KIDS! BRING YOUR WOOKIES!

No ARCS this time please. The rules have been finalised for this week and even though I have heard numerous excelent suggestions, these will go towards the next event. In order to save confusion, we'll be sticking to the mentioned finalised rules for this week now since it's Thursday.

It would be nice to have a few spectators willing to use /vrepairother to help people to DS if they'd rather not have decay ... I would offer, but I'm not on Bria.
