I like flying against those cute lil T5 droids in Endor with everything from my big krayt down to the lil Royal Guard Tie.

I like getting at least ten of the buzzards attacking me before I open up with fire.

Helps me learn about the amount of hits I should expect in a crowd of miscellaneous fighters.

Lots of fun

If you are weird, then so am I

QFE. Those tier 5 duty missions do actually have quite a lot of kick for NPC style opposition.

I'm sitting here feeling curious as ever about people's oppinions and this just cropped up in my head. Does anyone these days, when engaged in PvE make themselves fly 'worse' at times so as to make it more of a challenge?

I just decided today that I'm going to start flying the very worst ship in the privateerfleet for a few weeks, just for kicks.

As for taking out gunboats... I do refuse to do the 'sit at (500, 550) meters and plink away until dead' strategy, because, well... I've caught way too many JSFs sleeping on the job exhibiting that same behavior. Don't want to get too complacent myself, so I carry that behavior with me everywhere I go.

I've also gotten into the habit of, when doing my bread-and-butter corsec duty in dathomir space, to make sure I pull static spawns into the mix as the ships hyper in. It is just more fun fighting a dozen or more L4s, rather than settling with just 8.

Actually, that's a good way to keep me away - spotted Washell in a B-Wing in DS one day - jokingly sent him a /tell that I didn't need the kill that badly.

Of course, I've been away quite a while.

DAMN YOU, PUB 24, HURRY THE HELL UP.

i like to take my vaksia or my arc 170 out some times and turn off the hud and turn on the cockpit and the target tracker and use the frame of my ship to help me line up targets and go out killing tier 1, 2, and 3s it is so relaxing and looks so nice

Seriously. I managed to go 4-1 with that gigantic beast today. Seems some imperial JSF and oppressor pilots don't believe in chaff. Someone needs to make an example of me.

Still, it has been an interesting experience getting back into one of those things. I've noticed that my approach to things like trivial PVE has gotten less precise from flying the hypermaneuverable flyspecs. I think I've actually started killing mission targets *faster* with this ship, though it is equipped in nearly exactly the same manner as my bel-22--just some heavier armor and an IR2 that I don't use for pve. Granted, said targets are tier 4, but... eh. The giant boat seems to have a few tricks to teach me, all the same.

Nothing like buzzing past and getting your rear shields shot up and hoping they don't get all the way through to your armour

I don't generally "expose" myself as theres usually something that'll go wrong later. For example: the other day I was behind a gunboat, popping away (nearly had its engines out) at it and then suddenly another gunboat drives up behind me and straight over the top me, I got away but the cheeky thing blew my capacitor I'd have probably been ok if I hadn't spent a second or two gawping at the screen going "I don't believe it!"

(Oh and I was in my alts ship, just 4333 atm )
