I personally prefer my Ixeyen over any other privateer ship (only thing better is the YT1300 in my book) Load it up with some good dmg weapons and your set. I have a x-wing on one server, Tie on the other and my Iweyen. I wanted to test the ships to see what I liked the best. Its definately the Ixeyen for me.

I would definitely go with the Dunelizard--handling's close to the top TIEs and it still has a fair amount of mass. Or if you're in a pioneering spirit, try to set up a Kihraxz for PVP. 40K mass is almost stupid to try to work with, true enough, but if you went with a setup like 10K for an RE'd level 6 reward engine, 15K for level 7 shields, then 6K for a level 5 or 10K for a level 6 gun, that leaves you with 5-9K for boosters, armor, droid interface, capacitor, countermeasures, etc. Certainly enough to fly--and with that profile and some of the best handling in the game, I think you could be one cold killer even with such a light arms loadout.

i have used the 40k TIE/IN in pvp (just for laughs). i was actually able to keep the same loadout as in my Interceptor, by sacrificing the engine instead of firepower. i used a 1500 mass, 69 speed 64/60/61 pyr engine instead of the reward engine in the TIE/IN. (the Interceptor interestingly enough is the same as the TIE advanced except i just drop one gun.)

i definitely think it is possible to pvp with just 40k mass.... you just won't be as fast and can't give chase when people start running away. :-)
